Very Interesting Film.
"The presentation and portrayal of the main character in this intriguing cinema release was quite different, but still interesting. Slow Cinema
"Movie: The dialogue scenes definitely had me hooked, but the the long, quiet shots didn't really resonate with me. They feel very intentional, but I just didn't get what they were supposed to be adding to the movie. Extra: Kind of neat, with some interesting background information on Akerman's life. I like the observation she made about spending a lot of time staring out of windows as a kid because her mother wouldn't let her go play outside. If you are a parent don't do this to your kids or they might grow up to make extremely slow-paced cinema. Packaging: Fine"

Last call
"Posthumously granted the elevated level of notoriety denied in her lifetime, Chantal Akerman'sfinal film feels less a summation than a candid portrait of private revelation as guided through an adoring path with her mother. Akerman's oeuvre may be an acquired taste but this is a good place to start . Also includes an invaluable documentary by Marianne Lambert."
