Factory 25, a Brooklyn-based independent film distribution company was founded in 2009 by Matt Grady. F25 is a home for conceptually provocative narratives and documentaries. Its mission is to deliver specialized film and music titles in an aesthetically captivating way while exposing the indie world to under-the-radar films, music, and other curiosities in various ways and formats — theatrically, digitally, on TV, VOD, via subscription, limited edition DVDs,  Blu-ray's, books and vinyl. Vinegar Syndrome’s sister company, OCN Distribution, is thrilled to be representing this diverse and unique home video line!

Annie is a rebellious ten-year-old girl. She lives on the outskirts of town with her father Marvin, who, when not herding goats, mostly sleeps the day away. Virtually devoid of parental guidance, Annie is left to fend for herself and do as she pleases. With no moral compass, she roams the neighboring lands, shoplifting and engaging in general destructive behavior. Her routine is broken one day while playing in the woods; she hears an old woman calling from deep within an abandoned well, asking for help. Scared and untrusting of the unseen stranger, Annie deliberates on her course of action.

From the skewed minds of acclaimed filmmakers David and Nathan Zellner who brought you Sasquatch Sunset and Kumiko, The Treasure Hunter.

ZELLNER!

"Great film, and an even better collection of music videos and shorts from these funny, talented brothers. Looking forward to their earlier stuff getting released (he said, trying to will the universe into delivering such things)."

Good Movie, No Kidding!

"I found this unique film while perusing the VS website and when I saw the cool slipcover, decided to give it a whirl. The tone of this release is very unique and interesting, as is the entire film itself! The peerless VS restoration process was on full display with stellar sound and picture! Thank you, VS, for continuing to lovingly restore and release so many wonderful films from every conceivable genre! You are keeping physical media alive in this streaming world we now live in! Highly recommended!"

Expected comedy but it's pretty dark

"The cast do a good job, but the overall tone is a bit of a downer. The short films included are a mixed bag too but some great ones there. A version of Who's on First done completely deadpan by two people with no comic timing and yet it is still hilarious. If shooting dead cows with paintball guns and leaving women in hole's to die reminds you of your youth, then this is the film for you."

. . . patience PATIENCE patience. . . )))

"Kid Thing is patiently directed by David Zellner (Sasquatch Sunset, Kumiko the Treasure Hunter). It looks and sounds excellent in its podunk setting. It is Susan Tyrell's last film, and a perfect one. The release is loaded with special features! There's a nice little booklet, and the slipcover is awesome! 10/10"

I had high hopes for

"I had high hopes for this one, unfortunately they were not met. . . . though, I did like the film, I really wanted to love it! Definitely wait for a sale, like I did, to pick this one up."

Adam T. (3/5)

Well. .

"I really enjoy the Zellner Bros work. If you do too this movie is for you although not my personal favorite it’s one of their earliest and the special features alone are worth it. It is also Susan Tyrrell’s final film. I Would love to see Kumiko, Sasquatch Sunset, or Damsel get the VS treatment"

A Surreal Fable - try not to judge

"I guess if you let a kid fend for itself without any proper parenting Kid Thing is what you get. Try not to judge to swiftly and without remebering it´s just a child left to her own devices. A provocative fable on morals. Lovely artwork. Another great release from Factory 25 and as usual loads of extras and a meaty booklet. Amazing performance from 10 year old Sidney Aguirre. Must search out more of Zellner Bros production. Very Highly Recommended"

Hansi L. (5/5)

it was something that felt

"it was something that felt like a slightly younger cebe barnes (out of the blue) but there's also a hole in the ground that susan tyrell is in"

Kris N. (4/5)

Extras

"I already loved the film and was excited to own a physical copy, but the extras make it a must—not only do you get 12 short films and 6 music videos, but the 32 page booklet contains an essay, a reflection, an appreciation, an interview, an excerpt, shooting schedule, info about each short film, and credits!"
