You gotta love some Poelvoorde!
"I could say it's Belgian, it's an absurd take on the whodunit genre, it's perplexing. Or I could say it's Peolvoorde directed by Dupieux."
This special limited edition embossed slipcover is limited to 2,000 units and is only available here at VinegarSyndrome.com!

In Keep An Eye Out, a breakneck-paced cop comedy that packs more laughs into its breezy runtime than some filmmakers manage in their entire careers, Belgian funnyman Benoit Poelvoorde (MAN BITES DOG) is Commissaire Buran, a good, bad cop interrogating Fugain (Grégoire Ludig), an average Joe who discovered a dead body outside his apartment building. French absurdist Quentin Dupieux's whip-smart script disregards audience expectations, the fourth wall, and the laws of time and space. You'll never look at an oyster the same way again.

"I could say it's Belgian, it's an absurd take on the whodunit genre, it's perplexing. Or I could say it's Peolvoorde directed by Dupieux."
"Movie: Consistently amusing, and I got several big LOL's out of this. I'm glad I went in blind ;) Extras: The trailer is fun; it's not just clips from the movie either. Make-up test is short but good. Rehearsal footage is maybe 10-15 minutes and does show some of the tone-building. Book: 3 little interviews which add some extra knowledge. Packaging: Great slipcover, although it does spoil the one-eyed character's reveal and possibly mislead as to his importance. Inner art has some nice touches, e. g. the picture on the disc. You also get a little card of a letter from the movie, with an included translation."
"Massive fan of Quentin Dupieux but not many quality physical media releases of his films as far as I can tell (happy to have picked up the Drafthouse Wrong w/ hardcover book & the Arrow Films Incredible But True), so I was thrilled that one of my favorite partner labels released Keep An Eye Out. Not a ton of special features but I’ll take what I can get"
"One of my favorite movies, hard to find on streaming platforms in Canada. So glad I finally get to own this!"
"First gaining worldwide attention for 2010’s murderous-psychic-sentient-tire tale Rubber (oh, THAT old chestnut), Quentin Dupieux, himself a talented multi-hyphenate, has created a wonderfully perplexing Gallic film canon. Keep an Eye Out is no exception, and though it doesn’t swing for the fences as often as several of his other films do, it might actually serve as a fine primer for his oeuvre."
"This was a blind buy having been interested in it for years based on its slipcover alone. If you're a fan of foreign absurdist humor, this one will definitely be for you! Obviously I really like the slipcover, the inside cover art is pretty standard. You've got a basic amount of special features and a booklet. Also a special note, a small piece of ephemera is included. . . Which I always enjoy."
"A tense procedural by way of Ionesco? Absurd in a threatening way until it is absurd in a wacky way. I chuckled more than I guffawed, but I did have a good time"
"It’s less concerned with narrative coherence than with emotional abrasion"
"An enjoyable movie by Dupieux, with some delightfully absurd lines and situations. Fans of this director won't be disappointed."
"Wouldn't rank as high as Rubber or Deerskin, but if you're a fan of Dupieux's surrealism, absurdism and dry humour then this should be right up your alley."
