Founded in 2002 as one of the first-ever subscription film services with its DVD-of-the-Month Film Club, Film Movement is now a North American distributor of award-winning independent and foreign films based in New York City. In 2015, Film Movement launched the reissue label Film Movement Classics featuring new restorations released theatrically as well as on home video, with an emphasis on films by auteur directors such as Eric Rohmer, Peter Greenaway and Takeshi Kitano.

A ragtag team of four tough-as-nails cops are tasked with escorting the notorious gangster Playboy to prison. When he is revealed to be a stool pigeon, the real mob boss, Madame Butterfly, puts a price on Playboy’s head. This incites a swarm of hardened inmates to riot across the never-ending maze of cell blocks in pursuit of the bounty. Trapped in the fray with their sleazy charge in tow, the officers must fight their way through a relentless gauntlet of violence, armed only with their wits and lethal hand-to-hand combat skills. Featuring a jaw-dropping display of Cambodian martial arts mayhem peppered with irreverently comic antics, JAILBREAK is “90 minutes of kick-ass action screen time well served” (Film Combat Syndicate).
