This special limited edition spot gloss slipcover (designed by Haunt Love) is limited to 2,000 units and is only available on our website and at select indie retailers. Absolutely no major retailers will be stocking them.

Umbrella Entertainment has been a 100% Australian-owned and operated distributor for over 20 years. Their vast home entertainment catalogue features an extensive range of Australian classic, cult and exploitation films restored under the eyes of the original filmmakers. All sourced from national archives, underground collectors and local basements.

In the fast lane world of sex, drugs and rock’n’roll, Dominic Black (David Clendinning), a millionaire entrepreneur, reins supreme. Bored with the usual showbiz diversions, he prefers to indulge in playing elaborate mind games – and making movies where the performers end up dead!

After a documentary cameraman (Lou Brown) and his journalist girlfriend (Jennifer Cluff) witness one of Dominic’s party guests being hunted and killed in a chilling, hallucinatory chase, the immoral tycoon fears they may have captured the shocking event on film.

He lures the inquisitive pair to his luxury Surfers Paradise penthouse for a weekend of cat-and-mouse games where there are blood splattered bodies in the pool, on the balcony and in the cupboards… but in this complex, deadly nightmare, nothing is what it seems.

Set against the tranquil backdrop of sundrenched beaches and glittering blue seas, this little seen psychological thriller (from the writer of FANTASM) delivers non-stop twists and turns in a violent, flesh-filled tale of voyeurism, pornography, snuff films and complex human manipulation.

                            Trippy oz-sploitation

"Really enjoyed this erotic thriller from Australia. First watched on Tubi sometime ago, and liked it enough to get the physical disc. I thought David Clendenning and Jennifer Cluff really stood out and played their roles well. The movie has a more European style and plays best to those who don't insist on a clear cut explanation of everything by the end."

"Nice little gem of a thriller that I had never heard about before Umbrella released this very well producded Blu-ray. The whole plot has a meta level to it, since the main character is a film maker. Similar movies that came to mind are: Blow-Out, Blue Money, Lady Stay Dead (for also being an Aussie Thriller from that time). The restoration is excellent and the extras are very interesting, especially the visual essay. Nice booklet incudeled as well. Here in Germany it was released on VHS under the title "Ticket to Hell"!"

                            Dominik F. (4/5)

                            entertaining thriller

"Sometimes a misleading advertisement makes for a frustrating viewing experience, but sometimes it's clear that you're not going to get what the box art & tagline hint at, & the ride is still engaging. I'm not sure that this is a great bit of psycho-drama, but it's got the items that make one! Glad to have a nice-looking copy in my library."

                            Isaac W. (4/5)

                            Australian Thriller

"Final Cut (1980) is a lean, rough‑edged Australian thriller that blends documentary‑style filmmaking with a sleazy, paranoid atmosphere. It follows Chris, a cameraman, and his journalist girlfriend Sarah as they set out to make a documentary about Dominic, a wealthy and morally dubious businessman rumored to be involved in pornography and even snuff films. What begins as a straightforward exposé quickly spirals into manipulation, missing footage, and a deadly game of control and intimidation"

                            Tarek E. (3/5)

                            Excellent Aussie thriller

"Excellent Aussie thriller, great release by Umbrella. The slipcover is cool as hell, too."

                            Jakob P. (5/5)

This cut was worth the shot

"Perfectly good slasher from down under. At just a little over 80 minutes, Final Cut gives you a basis on its characters, the plot, then the kills in great order. No padding and with some good effects. Extras were also fun to dive through."

                            Cody B. (4/5)

                            Final Cut

"Blind buy as I was intrigued by Ozploitation. A decent thriller that held up, no lost gem or a classic. Looked and sounded good, comes with great extras. Recommended!"

                            Hansi L. (4/5)

A Gory Meta-Horror That Blurs Reality and Obsession

"Final Cut dives headfirst into sleazy, self-aware horror, following a filmmaker whose obsession with violence begins to spill into real life. The film plays with the idea of cinema as both creation and contamination, where the line between staged brutality and genuine madness becomes increasingly thin. There’s a raw, almost grimy energy throughout, amplified by its low-budget aesthetic and unapologetic excess. The gore is front and center, clearly designed to shock, but it also feeds into the film’s meta angle—forcing the viewer to question their own role as a spectator of violence. While the narrative can feel chaotic and loosely structured, that same unpredictability gives it a certain underground charm. It won’t appeal to everyone, but fans of transgressive horror and VHS-era sleaze will find plenty to latch onto here."

A satisfying cut of a twist

"Decently well acted performances. I always enjoy movies of this kind where you are really not sure who will have the upper hand until the end. From the movie itself, there are still a couple things I'm not entirely sure on, just haven't gotten around to looking up the answers. Good quality video and good special effects. Sound quality was also fine. Love the book inside with interesting tidbits to read."
