"Pretty funny (not really, pretty ridiculous actually) that this movie was "denied classification", in essence making it illegal for sale in Australia. It's really pretty tame when you think of all the kinds of extreme cinema out there. This Jess Franco movie is shot in a more conventional style that a lot of the ones he's known for. Good story, and great for any fans of the nun-sploitation genre. Beautiful artwork, love the original cover and the new slipcover images."

"Franco's film immediately drew me in with a score of chants, playful melodies and sobering, somber organs. And I was drawn to the setting, exotic, yet lonely and alien. And I always enjoy some of Franco's commentary on religion and its paradoxes, and going back and forth regarding who the real villains are. I rank this right up there with other favorites, Vampyros Lesbos, and Macumba Sexual."
"I've only seen two Jess Franco movies, but from what I can gather, his movies aren't always the best in terms of quality. However, this film is actually really good with a decent story, beautiful outdoor scenes, an excellent score, and great performances. That being said, it's as sleazy as you could want. I think I'll be checking out more of his films. I especially like how the Franco slipcovers share a similar art esthetic."

"Doriana Grey was my full intro to Franco. I had no idea how to really register this one, initially. I enjoyed it a good bit. Felt the horror was well done in executing the uncomfortable nature. Goes really good into the Nunsploitation nature of it. I credit it for that for sure. It really goes and believes in its world. Some minor dull moments of story but otherwise really engaging. Sort of wish we got this in its German language on this film. I thought the dub was fine, understanding how this film was shot. Felt maybe the German track and script may have been better. The English track never felt right. Regardless, I thought the film was well made and executed overall. Features are good. Picture is really good. Sound is decent considering the source. Overall the power of picture really wins me over."

"Love the artwork on the cover. As Jess Franco is my favorite director I may be biased but I loved this release. It has all those beautiful Franco touches that I love so much. Susan Hemingway is wonderful in the main role really portraying the innocence of the character. The Great Troy Howarth provides an excellent informative commentary and we go two excellent featurettes featuring Franco himself. Loved this release. Anything Franco is art to me."
