        Tunisian film that bears resemblance

"Tunisian film that bears resemblance to works of Kiyoshi Kurosawa, particularly cure and kairo. This follows a troubled female detective investigating a series of immolations. Filmed with that detached isolation associated with prime kiyoshi works."

        Renald R. (5/5)

A fantastical fever dream of darkness

"A super dope investigation and visual feast."

        Jermaine M. (4/5)

        Great late night oddity.

"Existential, strange and meditative police procedural worth your time - ambiguous offbeat cinema for the patient cinephile."

        Haunting

"One of the year’s best. Haunting."

        Joey D. (5/5)

Slow But Compelling Movie With Liminal Vibes

"Movie: Very slow movie, which was fine for me, although I wouldn't recommend it to most people. It definitely feels like there's a lot going on, but which I can't quite put together, and I'm not sure how much of that is the movie's fault vs. my own lack of knowledge/context/etc. I'm looking forward to the special features on the disc, and I think this has the potential to move up in my rating on a future re-watch. Extras: Sparse, but the Q&A with the director and lead actress gave me a little bit more context. Packaging: So good. Points for reversible cover, and both sides (as well as the slipcover) go so hard."
