"This amazing Mini-Box actually contains the complete directorial filmogrpahy of Italian Underground film maker Fabio Salerno, which was unknown to me until this release by Bleeding Skull. His two feature lengths films are restored from arcchival 16mm elements and look great for what they are. This is minor miracle in itself for such obscure Outsider art. The short films are on Disc 2 and transferred from tape masters. They are very watchable."

"Well, I was sad to learn that director Fabio Salerno at some point had taken his own life. From seeing the films in this collection, he would seem to be a fan of Italian horror who managed to outgrow the extremely low budgets of his film and let his passion shine through. Sure, some of the earliest shorts are nothing more than home video stuff meant as excercises but the 2 longer films are a treasure trove of imagination and gory delights. Bleeding Skull are to be commended for bringing this to our attention as I had never before heard of this man."

It’s awesome examining that development over the dozen or so shorts here. The best stuff is those handful of shorts between ‘85 and ‘87 where the man did nothing but cook."
