Michael Fury (George Chakiris, West Side Story) is a vampire. But contrary to myth and legend, he does not stalk innocent victims to drain them of blood - and life - rather he only drinks what he needs to survive. But when a vicious, and very human, killer begins murdering young women in Los Angeles by biting them and draining their blood, sparking fears that a vampire is prowling the city, Michael realizes that it will be up to him to unmask the fiend behind these deaths to save the good name of his vampire brethren.
A tense and sensual blending of supernatural mysticism and horror set in the neon tinged world of early 90s Hollywood, V.V. Dachin Hsu’s PALE BLOOD breathes depth and originality into the vampire genre. Colorfully photographed by Gerry Livley (Waxwork) and featuring supporting performances from Wings Hauser (Vice Squad) and Darcy DeMoss (Hardbodies), Vinegar Syndrome presents the world Blu-ray debut of PALE BLOOD in a brand new 2K restoration.

"This one was strange. It walks a strange line between awkward and interesting. Kinda slow at points but kept me engaged."
"I got this one mainly because it has Wings Hauser in it and to my delight, he put on an acting clinic. Vampires, but there's something different about it. . . love the alternate cover artwork, too."
"Way better than anticipated…plus, Agent Orange being in the flick was a really cool added bonus. WINGS. Solid DTV vampire flick with atmosphere for miles."
"This movie looks and sounds incredible, due to the peerless VS restoration process! The performances are all very good and the engaging soundtrack throughout is a definite plus! I t is an excellent horror flick, and I definitely can recommend it!"
"Different take on the vampire tale. Not bad, not great. Feels like a 90s movie for sure. Transfer is good. One extra star for Wings Hauser."
"It's a very predictable late night cable vampire film but it has it's charm and is very rewatchable. Pamela Ludwig is always welcomed!"
"I found this movie to be an interesting take on vampire movies. It's always good when someone brings a different angle to a well used formula. Worth checking out."
"Transfer looks great and the film is fun."
"Maybe more like a 3 1/2 star for me, but a disc I'm holding onto and think is easily recommended if you're into this sort of thing (and/or Wings Hauser at all; but I should also say that the rest of the cast is pretty fun, I really liked Pamela Ludwig and thought George Chakiris was bizarre, old, and still fun to watch in his role here). And, hey, I'm a sucker for the era, and loved a lot of the rooms, bars, and street scenes. Another release with a couple of solid interviews but where I would've appreciated a bit more. The case art looks great, but pales (sorry...) a bit in comparison to the similar but more stylish original(?) on the reverse and particularly cool-looking on the included DVD. Not a huge release for most, I'd imagine, but I think worth giving a shot."
"An enjoyable film."
