This listing is for the standard edition Blu-ray/DVD combo. The limited edition slipcover (designed by Earl Kessler Jr.) was limited to 2,000 units and is sold out. The two versions are identical, aside from the slipcover.

After being found in bed with another woman, Frederick, a retired mercenary, is blinded by his deranged and spiteful wife, who is then confined to an asylum. Deciding to start a new life and family with his mistress, Helen, but finding that he is unable to successfully impregnate her, Frederick consults with a fertility doctor who agrees to assist in helping them conceive a baby. But unknown to the happy couple, a member of a Satanic sect decides that Helen will be the perfect mother for the Antichrist and intervenes!

A diamond in the rough of early 80s Euro-horror, then 72 year old filmmaker Ignacio F. Iquino's (directing as Steve McCoy) SECTA SINIESTRA, or, Bloody Sect, barely saw any kind of release outside of its native Spain, despite liberally 'borrowing' plot elements from Rosemary's Baby, with touches of The Exorcist. Brimming over with every key element of Eurosleaze, including surprisingly mean spirited and brutal killings, Satanic possession, loads of nudity, zoom-happy cinematography, absurd plot twists and a pounding score, SECTA SINIESTRA is long overdue to join the ranks of the craziest offerings from Bruno Mattei or Joe D'Amato. Vinegar Syndrome is thrilled to resurrect this forgotten gem from Spain's sleaziest and most entertaining era in film production and presents the impossible to see SECTA SINIESTRA on Blu-ray for the first time, newly restored in 2k from its original 35mm camera negative.

Insane spanish movie

"Just buy this movie. You won't regret it."

Jelmer B. (5/5)

Fun

"Quality release of a movie I'd have probably never heard of otherwise"

Charles W. (4/5)

I have heard about this

"I have heard about this title. It being another Satanic flick I hoped on it because it look so good! From the description and pics. So I can't wait to view this soon. But I know it will be good"

Keegan C. (5/5)

From Forgotten to Forbidden: Secta Siniestra’s Blu-ray Resurrection Ritual

"Secta Siniestra may not be considered a great film by conventional measures—but it holds significant importance. It captures a time when Euro-horror was wild, unapologetic, and completely indifferent to making sense. Vinegar Syndrome approaches it not as a parody, but as a historical artifact—bestowing upon it the honor of restoration and the appreciation of its context."

Shawn G. (5/5)

Eurosleaze at its finest

"At least see this for the ending. Absolutely wild movie."

Zakaria S. (4/5)

Everything But the Kitchen Sink!

"How this movie isn't discussed more is beyond me. Maybe because it's so bonkers? It seriously has everything - possession, supernatural magic, zombies, a random pot of boiling water in a bathroom(?), telenovela-style catfights, eye gouging. . . Just a really fun time. I liked it so much, I wemt on ebay and found a slipcover!"

Bret L. (5/5)

Too fun for words!

"Perhaps Spain's answer to Rosemary's Baby, Secta Siniestra basks triumphantly in that post-Franco freedom of the early 1980s. The film also draws inspiration from The Exorcist and The Omen, and delivers an absolutely fun and wild ride! Perhaps my favorite touch: those adorable toy bats passing for demonic ones. The restoration and presentation are also top-notch. A real hidden gem!"

John T. (5/5)

Fatal Natal!

"A horny, Spanish riff on Rosemary's Baby/The Exorcist, Secta Siniestra is a bad-taste blast from beginning to end It's not 'good' in the traditional sense, but for a truly, WTF experience this takes some beating. The commentary tries to make sense of it all, but it's best to just surrender to the deviancy. Nice artwork too!"

Aneurin M. (5/5)

Worth a watch

"Blind bought this when it was on sale. Picture quality was good. Film is decent, quite a strange story but worth a watch and happy to add to the collection."

Tony S. (4/5)

Secta Siniestra

"An enjoyable film."
