This listing is for the standard edition Blu-ray/DVD combo. The limited edition slipcover (designed by Earl Kessler Jr.) was limited to just 1,500 units and is sold out. The two versions are identical, aside from the slipcover.

While traveling to Australia, American detective Mike Harber (Ross Hagen) finds himself stranded in The Philippines and obliged to assist in solving the mysterious disappearance of a famous Jai alai athlete. After hearing from a witness that the man might have been kidnapped by a group of beautiful, hearse driving women, Mike quickly finds himself a new target of the Wonder Women, a group of martial arts fighting assassins who work for the mysterious Dr. Tsu (Nancy Kwan); an evil genius scientist who's been collecting able-bodied men for use in her bizarre body part transplant experiments!

Martial arts madness, dangerous chase scenes, insult-heavy dialogue, vague sci-fi twists, and a whole lot more nudity and violence than its very misleading PG rating would imply. Robert Vincent O'Neill's WONDER WOMEN is a quintessential slice of early 70s drive-in craziness, featuring supporting performances from Roberta Collins, Sid Haig and Filipino exploitation stalwart Vic Diaz. Vinegar Syndrome is pleased to bring this eye-poppingly colorful B movie classic to Blu-ray, newly restored from its original 35mm camera negative and featuring both its original domestic theatrical version as well as the complete, never-on-disc extended European cut!

Reviews

PG you say?

"An enjoyable movie, plenty of action scenes, a shame they didn't have much budget left for costumes. Picture and sound quality generally good, though suffering in a couple of scenes. A very 70's soundtrack, there's a good chance you will recognise the opening music. Nice slipcover, and decent overall presentation."

The James Bond/Danger Girl Mashup I Always Wanted!

"I viewed this film on the Wonder Women Vinegar Syndrome Blu-ray Limited Edition physical media release and it is the same great premium level of packaging and presentation that you’ve come to expect from the generic releases of this boutique label. No other brand beats Vinegar Syndrome at the cardboard game and this great slipcover is no exception to the consistently fantastic artwork and component quality this company produces. Fantastic

"Ross Hagen stumbles onto genius supervillain Nancy Kwan's plot to kidnap world-class athletes and sell them for parts, abetted by her titular team of sexy commandos and a mastery of "brain sex" technology."

Wonder Women - Blu-Ray review

"Sexy, Groovy, Cheesy and Fun flick! This movie is the definition of 70s. If somebody asks you how was things in the 70s, tell them to watch this movie. The picture quality is also amazing for a B-movie of the 70s and the slip-cover is a piece of art."

Wonder Women

"Cool cover art. Love this quiche James bond parody . Great soundtrack too :"

Thor-Arild Ø. (5/5)

Sexy fun

"This is just silly, sexy fun. I had a good time with it, even if the movie is what it is in terms of quality. But that's part of what makes it fun: how awkward it is (just look at the lack of choreography in the fight scenes. . . )"

DARIO T. (3/5)

Campy but flawed exploitation flick with a great soundtrack

"Half of this picture is delightful, with the evil and mysterious Dr. Tsu in her plastic suit exhorting "brain sex" and transforming her cadre of kung-fu foxes into freakish science projects. Unfortunately the other half is a limp James Bond ripoff, with endless chases and a real, extremely long, and unpleasant cockfight sequence. As usual VS delivers a great-looking print, and some solid extras: the commentary has good insights into the production and the "extended European cut" adds a few non-essential but fun scenes, while the Q&A session is a brief, choppy VHS recording that's often hard to hear."
