THE EXECUTIONER: PART II is part of our Vinegar Syndrome Archive collection, celebrating forgotten cinematic oddities from the video store era. This collection was inspired by our own brick & mortar video stores, with locations in Bridgeport, CT, Denver, CO, Toronto, ON, and Pittsburgh, PA.
Unique to this line, each numbered limited edition release will come fitted in a specially designed, bottom loading VHS inspired slipcase, while also including a double-sided poster.
These releases will ONLY be available on our website and at participating indie retailers. Absolutely no major retailers will be stocking them. This spot gloss slipcase edition (designed by Robert Sammelin) is strictly limited to 4,000 units. This release may (but probably not) be followed by a standard edition in the future.

A ruthless gang of thugs is savaging the streets of Hollywood, murdering, robbing, and assaulting the innocent and helpless. As haggard policeman Roger O'Malley does what he can to stem the violence, a mysterious vigilante appears on the scene, attracting significant media coverage after dramatically dubbing himself "The Executioner." Once this crusader hunts down a wayward criminal, he literally blows them up using his stash of grenades. With mounting pressure from the police commissioner to track down the vigilante, O'Malley begins to suspect that the culprit could be Mike, his Vietnam buddy who saved his life during the war, and who is now a local mechanic suffering manic bouts of PTSD.

Starring cult film legend Aldo Ray (Don't Go Near the Park), and Chris Mitchum (Summertime Killer), along with Renee Harmon herself, this non-stop assault of lo-fi action, absurd dubbing, and jaw-dropping stock footage explosions has been newly restored from its original camera negative and returns to home video from VSA. This release also includes the return of Bryan and Harmon's final theatrical feature, HELL RIDERS (1985), starring Adam West (TV's Batman), and Tina Louise (TV's Gilligan's Island), for an '80s grindhouse double feature you'll never forget.

"The transfers look amazing. Executioner was an incoherent mess. Some scenes were gut bustingly funny, but others, especially the first half, really dragged. The teenage girls were the funniest part. 2/5/ Hell Riders on the other hand should have been the 4K because this was wall to wall stupid and so bad it's funny. Complete with Adam West! In close up. . . with the worst doubles ever. 5 star fun!"
"One of those "so bad it's good" films. The dubbing is atrocious, the cast feels completely miscast, and the pacing never quite finds its rhythm. Packed with campy fight scenes and lingering unanswered questions, it's a fascinating mess that’s impossible to look away from. Packaging and artwork are excellent."

"Rene Harmon is alway a fun , unique charm. Out of the two, Hell Riders is even more nuts with Tina Louise and Adam West having doubles for the majority of the flick. They are shoot closeup and then a stand-in ."

"James Bryan can do no wrong! It’s nice that they included a long OOP and pricy VSA title Hell Riders, but I personally would’ve preferred Frozen Scream. Oh well. A solid release for a highly entertaining and terrible film."
