This listing is for the standard edition Blu-ray. The limited edition slipcover (designed by Earl Kessler Jr.) was limited to 5,000 units and is sold out. The two versions are identical, aside from the slipcover.

Bob Crane has long maintained a psychic connection to his twin sister, Jessica, who works as a fashion model in Milan. When Bob senses that his sister might be injured or killed, he travels to Italy to look for her, only to discover that she's vanished without a trace. Enlisting the help of about-to-retire Commissioner Danesi, Bob soon finds himself embroiled in a web of mystery and terror, when a scissors wielding killer begins to strike and all clues lead back to Jessica... A highly entertaining and unexpectedly raunchy late period giallo, clearly taking a cue from the American slasher craze, Carlo Vanzina's NOTHING UNDERNEATH amps up its mid 80s stylings and stars prolific TV actor Tom Schanley (Dexter), Danish fashion model Renée Simonsen, and Donald Pleasence (Halloween) and features a lush score by Pino Donaggio (Dressed to Kill).

A group of high fashion models have been invited to an isolated house to attend a party. As the night wears on, one of the models falls victim to a deadly 'accident,' which sets into motion a series of brutal murders, all traced back to a shocking secret... An in name only sequel to Nothing Underneath, prolific commercial director Dario Piana's feature film debut, TOO BEAUTIFUL TO DIE (Nothing Underneath II in Italy), is a quickly paced, ultra stylized, and satisfyingly violent giallo/slasher hybrid which stars French TV star François-Eric Gendron, Florence Guérin (Faceless), and Randi Ingerman (The Two Jakes).

Vinegar Syndrome proudly presents both NOTHING UNDERNEATH and TOO BEAUTIFUL TO DIE on English language Blu-ray for the first time, newly restored 4K from their original 35mm camera negatives and bursting with exclusive special features.

Reviews

The Winner Is Nothing Underneath

"Nothing Underneath is the best film here. You have twins with a psychic link and a killer on the loose. Sure, it has big plot holes, but it's fun. Donald Pleasance shows up as a detective as well. Too Beautiful To Die is nothing more than a music video arranged around some deaths. It is very light on plot. I would call it all style and no substance."

Nathan L. (3/5)

Models Murder and Mayhem

"These italian slashers have it all. Beautiful models. Exciting kills. Amazing killer reveals. Great Music. Donald Pleasance eating spaghetti from a Wendy's salad bar. Like I said - a must see. Both are about murder mysteries. Loved everything about them and the bonus of getting two films."

Ryan S. (5/5)

Fashion Giallo Double Feature

"Personally, I enjoyed Too Beautiful To Die much more than Nothing Underneath. Even Donald Pleasance couldn't sway me. You get Frankie Goes to Hollywood on the soundtrack for TBTD, and it just felt more stylish. I thought the audio was poor on Nothing Underneath with dialogue particularly jarring to the ears. Nice double feature though."

NICHOLAS K. (4/5)

Giallo/Slasher Hybid Duo

"I couldn't pass up a bevy of beauties wrapped up in a murder mystery with a slasher twist times two and neither should you! I wouldn't say they're the best of either subgenre, but they're great scans of two fun films that would satisfy a true fan of either. Gruesome kills, a cool blade, some fun bonus materials. Great double feature!"

Joshua K. (5/5)

80s Giallo Classics

"Beautiful transfer of some great 80s Giallo. I love the glitz and glam of this period slightly more than the 70s ones. Wonderfully-shot."

Wayne C. (5/5)

Two pretty awesome horror flicks!!

"I loved these two flicks. Great price for great films, full of gore and suspense. If you love some giallo, you have to get these titles!!!"

GILBERTO C. (5/5)

This was a blind buy,

"This was a blind buy, but I've been getting interested in Giallo and checked it out. These were both a good watch and the restoration was great. Makes a good double feature."

Steven P. (4/5)

"Great quality release love these double features"

Something's Underneath

"A two for one bluray from depths of lost film? Sign me up. This is a great package of two great slasher style films. Looking fantastic on this restoration."

Jeffery K. (5/5)

Solid 80s gialli

"Pair of very solid gialli from the 80s with plenty of style. Nothing Underneath features heavy De Palma vibes."
