Nacho and Mauricio are friends, but their competitive nature has them at each other's throats. After an embarrassing defeat, Mauricio comes up with one last bet to settle the score. When a number of gory bear attacks are reported in the paper, the boys decide whoever can kill the deadly beast will be declared the macho-est man of them all. With girlfriends and sidekicks in tow they venture out for the ultimate hunt, but when they start getting attacked and mutilated they realize they’ve gone from being the hunters to the hunted! And the bear they thought they’d catch may be something more sinister than they could have ever dreamed…

From iconic Mexican director Pedro Galindo III (Vacation of Terror II) comes this little seen entry into the slasher genre. Starring frequent collaborator Pedro Fernández (Vacation of Terror, Panic in the Mountains) and a varied ensemble cast, this slice of Mexican horror is packed with extremely elaborate kills, gore and tension worthy of Hitchcock, along with colorful characters and Galindo’s easy comic tone. Vinegar Syndrome is proud to present the insane thrills of HELL’S TRAP (aka TRAMPA INFERNAL), presented here on Blu-ray for the first time, newly scanned and restored in 4K from 35mm archival film elements.

Reviews

Extremely entertaining Mexican slasher with

"Extremely entertaining Mexican slasher with a gloved knife killer slashing teens in unique and gorey fashion. This was a film I hadn’t heard of previously so it was a nice surprise. Decent amount of extras included and great artwork!"

Nacho the Hero with bad ass Mullet on the side

"An excellent cat and mouse type backwoods Horror Suspense film out of Mexico. Similar plots like Just Before Dawn, The Final Terror, or Rituals. Great pacing, as well as short and sweet! Great villain that doesn't stop the hunt until the banger finale. A lot better experience than what I was expecting. Highly recommended!"

Allan R. (5/5)

Well done suspense/thriller

"IMHO the best of the six movies from the DVD Crypt of Terror: Horror from South of the Border, Vol. 1 (pictured for reference). VS has released all of these titles now and I am pretty darn happy about it!"

Paul B. (5/5)

Wow, was not expecting this to be so good

"Wow, what a gem. Great suspense flick. The only downside is the length - at 76 min it rushes by, and there are a few things we don't see in the plot as a result. Doesn't appear they shot them, as the cuts are seamless, but could have used more time. Characters making dumb decisions, stalk and slash atmosphere, incredibly creepy masks and really really well shot for a movie of this type. Definitely want to check out Vacation Terror from this director."

Michael L. (5/5)

Rarely Seen Late 80s Slasher Fun!

"VS releases another fun Mexican Horror film from the 80s. If you are a fan of 80s slashers and think you've seen them all, check this one out! The audio/video quality is great as per VS usual standards. There's no English dub as this movie likely was not seen much in the US prior to this release. The subtitles are easy to read however. The woods setting is cool and so is the killer's appearance. A trailer would have been nice but there are three short interviews which address some value to the overall package. Finally, the reverse original art is cool."

Entertaining Mexican slasher. A must

"Entertaining Mexican slasher. A must if you like low budget cheesy horror Excellent slip & transfer as always"

Anthony H. (5/5)

A thin story but with

"A thin story but with a very competent killer. Its a pretty decent slasher that hasn't the polish of the greats."

Stephen S. (4/5)

Trampa Infernal

"Solid enough Mexican slasher. The killer has an interesting look with the mask, wig and Freddy Krueger like bladed glove, though not much is made of his story or motivation. The special features are short interviews, but I liked the one with Marisol Santacruz who plays Carlotta. She’s still a very lovely woman. Artwork looks nice."
