Factory 25, a Brooklyn-based independent film distribution company was founded in 2009 by Matt Grady. F25 is a home for conceptually provocative narratives and documentaries. Vacation! is an existential beach party movie about life, death, sex and drugs. When four college friends reunite for a girls’ week at the beach, it’s all bikinis, piña coladas and dance parties at first. But the fun soon fades away… After procuring a psychotropic drug from a sketchy surfer dude, the girls take a very strange trip into the abyss.

    Perfect Factory 25 Release

    "Fully embraces the irony of that exclamation point in the title, and sustains it throughout, as it slowly moves from playfully kitsch (a big bold CinemaScope title treatment over Mini DV footage, underlining the drop off from reality versus expectation) to depressingly dissociative. A total time capsule of the 00’s wave of micro budget US that developed out of Mumblecore, writer-director-editor Zach Clark was always the most visually distinct, and the filmmaker, who seemed to get the maximum from so little. He particularly shines here editorially, crafting a genuinely original acid trip sequence, and cinema can’t lay claim to too many of those! Always a pleasure to see Michael Abbott Jr! Slipcover is a perfect match for the material. After 2 Zach Clark releases, let's get his debut on disc!"
