Two roughie shockers from David F. Friedman!

Everything they touch is stained! THE DEFILERS are Carl (future filmmaker Byron Mabe) and Jameison (Jerome Eden), a pair of sadistic beatniks who spice up their boring lives by imprisoning an innocent young woman (the “mouth-watering 20-year-old Scandinavian screen find” Mai Jansson) in the basement of an abandoned building. A quintessential "roughie," THE DEFILERS is a stylishly squirm-inducing shocker from exploitation film legends David F. Friedman (SHE-FREAK) and R. Lee Frost (HOUSE ON BARE MOUNTAIN).

She turned men on, turned them off, and turned them inside out . . . she’s A SMELL OF HONEY, A SWALLOW OF BRINE! Stacey Walker (THE NOTORIOUS DAUGHTER OF FANNY HILL) stars as Sharon Winters, the ultimate tease who gets her kicks by picking guys up and then screaming for help. As she leaves a trail of broken men in her wake, will she ever meet her match? Written and produced by David F. Friedman and directed by THE DEFILERS star Byron Mabe, this is, as Friedman's original ad campaign proclaimed, "an adult experience!"

Reviews

Two classic roughies

"Two very enjoyable Dave Friedman roughies that look wonderful on blu ray. Don't forget to listen to the commentaries."

Damon H. (4/5)

Something Weird upgrades

"Loved discovering these through Something Weird, so it’s even better to see them get the cultural deluxe treatment here."

Nick C. (5/5)

double roughie pleasure for your kicks

"Really liked both of these two early roughie films. Parts are still very jarring, even seen all these years later. Amusing dialog, beautiful and sexy women. Bad boys, bad girls. Delivers on all fronts. The special features, particularly the commentary tracks, were a great listen and I liked the inclusion of the booklet. Couldn't be happier."

Adam C. (5/5)

Solid intro to Dave Friedman

"Got into this one after going down the HG Lewis Rabbit hole. I'd buy it again"

John H. (3/5)

sleazy as sleaze can be

"Is there anything as fun as old school exploitation? I don't think so. Which is, admittedly, horrible to say given the subject of kidnapping of a woman and become a toy for degenerates. That said, a great little piece of vintage sleaze."

Preston C. (5/5)

Roughie Heaven

"These are an important part of roughie film history. Great extras that provide important context on the background and influence of these. These look great despite the age as AGFA did a bang up job on their restorations."

Brent B. (5/5)

Favorite slipcover

"Absolutely love this slipcover! Going to get more AGFA releases for that alone."

James S. (5/5)

The defilers

"Some of the best 60's sexploitation I've seen and the commentary are a lot of fun"

Gus T. (4/5)

Sleazy must have

"Come on, AGFA, Something Weird putting out sleazy flicks, I'm sold. They always do a great job with the restoration, the picture looks excellent. Keep on supporting AGFA and SW!"

Nicholas D. (4/5)

AGFA-053

"Love these releases from the AGFA guys, great value, the retro slipcovers are genius …. ."
