Presented in partnership with Something Weird Video...

The American Genre Film Archive (AGFA) represents the world's largest theatrical catalog of exploitation cinema. Their home video line presents a diverse selection of movies, ranging from new preservations of classics from the vast library of Something Weird to the wildest in shot-on-video (SOV) titles. Vinegar Syndrome’s sister company, OCN Distribution, is thrilled to be representing this diverse and unique home video line!

A skull-smashing double feature from the AGFA grindhouse! Once lost and never legitimately released on home video, THE BLACK PANTHER OF SHAOLIN (aka BAMBOO TRAP, 1975) is a Filipino knockout that finds martial arts legends Ron Van Clief and Leo Fong locked in mortal combat with a gang of kidnappers. From there, THE BLACK SIX (1974)—directed by Matt Cimber (GLOW: GORGEOUS LADIES OF WRESTLING) and one of the first all-Black biker movies—tells the story of a motorcycle club (led by NFL stars Gene Washington, "Mean Joe" Greene, and more) that seeks revenge against white supremacists. But the action doesn't stop there. The second disc of this bone-cracking collection features all three volumes of MARTIAL ARTS MAYHEM—the beloved eye-gouging, gut-kicking VHS trailer compilation series from Something Weird Video.

Entertaining double feature with a

"Entertaining double feature with a martial arts actioner and a black biker movie where they get revenge against white supremacists. If you enjoy low budget 70s movies that would play at a drive-in, then you’ll have fun with these. To top it off you get almost 5 hours of martial arts trailer compilations!, which is worth the price itself. Artwork is also perfectly suited for the films. A great release!"

Another Fantastic release from your

"Another Fantastic release from your friends at AFGA. 2 movies for the price of one. But the extras are what really makes it. . . the special features contain over 5 hours of martial arts trailers. I didn't even mention that football and Pittsburgh Steelers legend, Mean Joe Greene, stars in the Black Six."

Dustin G. (5/5)

Kung Fu Zeitgeist

"I'm not as in love with the dubbed Kung Fu a lot of people (including me) grew up with. But what I am interested, outside of the originals, is the attempts to recreate it and the influences it had. A wonderful restoration of two such attempts."

Michael G. (5/5)

Don’t Sleep On Disc Two

"Don’t get me wrong: the two main films are lots of fun. Especially glad to have a commentary track with Chris “Temple of Schlock” Poggiali and Andrew “Trash Video” Leavold on BAMBOO TRAP, and THE BLACK SIX captures the look & feel of the 35mm print I saw ages ago (though I’m still a bit tempted by Film Masters’ release). But the three-part Martial Arts Mayhem on the second disc is over four-and-a-half hours of trailers that Something Weird curated back in the ‘90s. An incredible thing to have on in the background the next time you’re entertaining or practicing your moves."

Maxim P. (4/5)

AGFA Grindhouse Gold

"A killer AGFA double feature with real shelf appeal. The Black Panther of Shaolin is rough-and-ready martial arts fun, The Black Six brings biker revenge energy, and the Martial Arts Mayhem trailer compilations make the whole set feel like a night at the grimiest grindhouse on Earth. Love that these oddities are getting preserved instead of staying lost."

Danny W. (5/5)

Unbelievably Awesome Restoration Of These 2 Flicks!

"The slipcover looks amazing and the print of these 2 movies is simply breathtaking! They used to look so horrible, especially the black 6, which ruined the great film for me before. The colors and clarity jump from the screen here! The movies are a lot of fun, and I am so glad I bought them!"

Paul K. (5/5)

Blaxploitation

"This some nice 70s blaxploitation and Kung Fu pictures, with the typical flair of that time, packaged in a nice slipcover"

Lennard B. (5/5)

It's All About The Black Six

"The Black Panther of Shaolin - ironically, the title I initially purchased this for - is beautifully presented, but nothing to write home about sans its novelty. The Black Six, however, is a true gem and something that would never and could never be made today."

Ian S. (3/5)

Hiiyah

"main feature delivers a fun, albeit highly chaotic Filipino martial arts romp starring Ron Van Clief and Leo Fong that thrives on its raw, unfiltered drive-in energy. While the movies themselves are gloriously campy and rough around the edges, the real value for boutique collectors lies in the second disc, which unloads a staggering 282 minutes of Something Weird’s classic Martial Arts Mayhem VHS trailers."

Kevin G. (5/5)

So many trailers!

"Tons of extras, great artwork on the slipcover."
