Great doc and insane amount of extras

"This has more extras than any release I can remember. Hours of interviews and speeches as well as a cool tour of one of his exhibitions. The documentary itself is extremely well made and flows at a good pace. If you are unfamiliar with this extraordinary artist and writer, this is a good introduction. Enjoyable for fans as well. Unfortunately, there will never be a time when strong anti-fascist literature will not be timely and important. Recommended."

Excellent documentary

"I really enjoyed this documentary when I watched it on pbs. Of course afterwards I immediately was hoping a physical version would become available, so when VS announced it was going to come out I immediately bought a copy. Art Spiegelman is a fantastic artist, and this documentary really showcases not only his work and talent, but his deep passion for comics and cartooning. It goes in depth with his graphic novel Maus as well, and is worth the purchase."

The master who brought us MAUS

"Excellent documentary focusing on the career of 60s counterculture comix artist Art Spiegelman. Art is up there with such contemporary greats as Robert Crumb, Gilbert Shelton, Vaughn Bodē, Robert Williams and S. Clay Wilson. A must have documentary that's up there with Terry Zwigoff's documentary Crumb (1994). Also unlike the original PBS American Masters premier of the doc, this bluray features the uncut version where Art talks about his drawing of Donald Trump featured as the festering, fly ridden, faciast piece of shit he is. Highly recommended!"

"I saw the film at my local art house and loved it. I bought the disc to watch all the extras. The one with Chris Ware has some insanely bad camera work, but was a great talk. My only real complaint would be I wish the extra scene with the Crumbs was longer."
