Stellar update of the John Hughes formula
"Similar type story of Sixteen Candles/Breakfast Club but concentrated mostly on one person, in college. But with a much deeper knowledge of cinematic technique. Lights, shot composition, colors, stunning music, tempo changes between frantic comedy, lugubrious dives into water, and contemplative drunk, revealing conversation (Nothing says Chicago like getting drunk on Malort) and stunning revelations given by characters and life itself. Sad I couldn't find this in theaters. So glad I got it here."
