Suze (Andrea Riseborough) and Arthur (Harry Melling) are an outwardly traditional bohemian couple living on the Lower East side. After encountering a gang of violent leather-clad greasers known as The Young Gents, the pair discover previously unexplored desires and begin to question the confines of gender, monogamy, and the sexual status quo. Colorful, musical and witty, filmmaker Amanda Kramer's visionary riff on 1950s masculinity plays like a high camp emission from your wildest dreams.

I'm The King Around Here And Don't You Forget It!

"This film starts out with a bang. Think West Side Story with The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady as the score, where two people are violently murdered in the first few minutes. One thing, for certain, is that this ain't no west side story. Please Baby Please is so stylish, it exudes coolness. The wild vibes and colorful characters are seemingly straight out of nightmarish 50's gangland dreams. The lovely retro sets and gorgeous lighting really make for some wonderful visuals. The score is totally badass, superbly fitting here. The script is dark and sexy. The direction and performances are top-notch, especially Andrea Riseborough. This film is an excellent add to the collection, further viewings with friends will be a blast. I'm stoked that I was finally able to snag one of the sweet slipcovers! 10/10"

stylish and angst ridden queer

"stylish and angst ridden queer yearning in a sweet little film that shows a lot of promise for the filmmaker. Cool vignettes of burlesque-style flights of fantasy and lots of leather jacket clad hunks. For fans of camp and horny vibes."
