Reviews

The innocent

"Love the unique slipcover art. Erotic Italian drama."

Justin M. (5/5)

A beautiful edition of a minor classic

"Beautiful package - the slipcase artwork is stunning and make this a real collector's item. I enjoyed the film a great deal, though it's not my favorite of his. The transfer is rock solid throughout, which shows off Visconti's typically stylish cinematography."

Simon T. (4/5)

Visconti Masterpiece

"Film Movement continues to deliver quality packages for classic cinema."

Jonathan G. (5/5)

worthy swan song

"a swan song worthy of one of our greatest filmmakers to ever do it. Melodramatic and impossibly lavish and enormous-feeling as always with Visconti. Required viewing for anyone who wants to understand film history, or also just loves excellent, sexy, isanity."

William M. (5/5)

Amazing slipcover

"This is a truly amazing slipcover. Visconti's movies usually are controversial and this slipcover captivates that brilliantly. Nice release thorough and highly recommended!"

Eppu K. (5/5)

Period drama on fidelity

"This Italian period drama deals with infidelity and it's consequences. It is a film that is beautifully shot, with great costumes and sets, and perhaps one of the least likable main characters I've seen in film. Sadly, there are not many special features included."

Marcus P. (4/5)

A decent release for a great film

"Visconti's late period masterpiece looks incredible in this release, which is sumptuously packaged. The booklet and special features are a bit thin though."

Matthew M. (4/5)
