Reza, having distanced himself from the urban quagmire, leads a simple life along with his wife and young son, somewhere in a remote village in Northern Iran. He spends his days working on his goldfish farm. Nearby, a private company with close links to the government and local authorities, has taken control of nearly every aspect of regional life. Its shareholders, accumulating wealth, power and economic influence, have been pushing local farmers and small owners to sell off their belongings, farms and estates, to the benefit of the Company’s influential network and its monopoly. It is under their pressure that many villagers have themselves become local links in the larger network of corruption.

Injustice, Bribery, Oppression, Corruption !!

"From the Iranian director, writer and producer, Mohammad Rasoulof, who, after his first film, has had problems with the censorship system in Iran and his subsequent movies and screening of them were very limited or all prohibited in his homeland. This ambitious film and "Cannes Film Festival" award winner has a great story & outstanding performances. It's about corruption in today's Iranian society. Either one is forever oppressed, or has to join the oppressor/system to survive. A very Intelligent movie and highly recommended."

No Integrity Necessary

"A Man of Integrity is a tense, quietly powerful drama about a man who refuses to give in to corruption in a small Iranian town. The story unfolds slowly but with purpose, showing how hard it is to stay honest in a system stacked against you. It’s a bleak, gripping look at moral resistance and the personal cost that comes with it."

Masterpiece

"A slow burn-never boring- thriller about a family man who just wants to run his goldfish farm in peace. Beautiful cinematography, directing, and acting. The lead is man of few words who speaks volumes through his eyes and gestures. Wait till you see his secret place. Favorite quote; "when will he learn?' "Life teaches everybody. Some learn quick, others slow. Some learn too much others not enough. " Beautiful slip cover with booklet of essays. Thank you Big World Pictures for putting this out."
