"This story is worth a watch because it's a story that what could have been."
"Great documentary well worth the purchase slipcover sold out first day glad i got it"
"George A. Romero’s unmade Resident Evil project remains one of the most fascinating “what ifs” in horror cinema. Romero, the father of modern zombie films, was originally attached to bring Capcom’s iconic franchise to the screen, and his vision reportedly leaned much closer to the tone of the games—bleak, claustrophobic, and rooted in biological horror rather than action spectacle. His script and early materials suggest a far grittier, more faithful adaptation than what audiences eventually got, making the project a constant point of curiosity for fans of both Romero and the franchise. On the physical media side, the Blu-ray of Dark Star is a standout for collectors, especially thanks to its wealth of extras. It features an engaging audio commentary with contributors involved in the documentary about the film, offering behind-the-scenes insights and historical context, alongside a strong selection of interviews that explore its production, legacy, and influence. For fans of cult sci-fi and boutique releases, it’s the kind of edition that goes beyond the film itself, turning the disc into a comprehensive deep dive into one of the most unusual debuts in the genre."
"Man George A. Romero's Resident Evil really could have been something it's such a shame that Hollywood didn't take a chance with him at the helm, it would have been better than what we got. I mean even the video game commercial that George directed was way better than anything in the entire film. Great presentation of this documentary with tons of extras, if you're a Romero fan don't sleep on this."
"Perfect"
"I love that VS always takes a chance on these documentary film's. Yet again showing that the master of Zombie flicks had his love for it almost have us a better Resident Evil franchise."
