Traveling magician Mr. K (Crispin Glover) is down on his luck. Business is slow, and the few gigs he’s picked up along the road have left him adrift. After spending the night in a remote hotel, he is alarmed when he discovers that he is unable to find the exit. As he explores the maze-like corridors, he hears strange noises and encounters a series of curious inhabitants who have formed their own factions within the walls of the hotel. Alone and afraid, he starts mapping out the corridors, desperately hoping to get to the bottom of the building’s layout before it is too late. Stuck more hopelessly than ever and about to give up, he makes a bizarre discovery that will change everything. Starring the ever-eccentric Crispin Glover, this Kafkaesque mystery offers a bold new take on falling down the rabbit hole.

Surreal Exploration of Life

"This movie was very bizarre and surreal, which is exactly what drew me to it in the first place. The visuals are fantastic, as we see an ever-changing environment that is increasingly more and more bizarre. It is basically an existential look at life and how we deal with an ever-changing world. We can turn a blind eye and accept the status quo, even though it may have dire consequences, or we could face it head-on and deal with the problems. There are many other issues that are symbolized throughout the movie, but the main issue is ultimately how we deal with everything that comes at us in life."

Kafka meets Lovecraft

"A quirky tale of a labyrinthine structure inhabited by people so entrenched in routine that they refuse to see the encroaching cosmic horror. It’s a lofty play that draws upon Kafka/Wells’ “The Trial” and Lovecraft’s “Call of Cthulu” for inspiration, but may end up being pretentiously weird. It’s always good seeing Crispin Glover being his usual self, so I’m glad to have it in my collection. Great packaging and nice slip cover."

Ok Mr K

"The movie was shot beautifully, he has some funny parts and by the third act it takes some unworldly twist. Good movie overall"

Surreal Intrigue

"One of Glover’s best roles. Great transfer and slipcover."

Hotel 'body' horror Masterpiece!

"It is hard to pull of strange/weird successfully. Early on I was worried things wouldn't work. I watched with my fingers crossed. Halfway through there was an amazing scene of Crispin Glover looking out the hotel window and things just exploded. My jaw dropped and I knew they pulled it off. Watched and listened to the last half in awe. Went places I never expected. Lead by Crispin Glover who gives the best leading roll performance of his career! Beautiful cinematography by Frank Griebe who is Tom Tykwers go to (Winter Sleepers, Run Lola Run) and the music/soundtrack by Stijn Cole takes it to another level. Favorite soundtrack of the last decade. Best heard on surround sound full volume! Deserves a vinyl release. Only downside for me is the slipcover. The flowers should have been intestines! Makes me think the artist did not watch the movie. All and all this was a movie I never heard of that has become one of my favorites. Also an intro to a great director Tallulah Schawb and composer Stijn Cole."

Instead of collecting

"cardboard, enjoy this zany, curious, funny, fun flick that might be on the same block as the hotel in Delicatessen or in the world of Underground. Crispin Glover is right on the money although no matter what you may love him."

Interesting Watch!

"While perusing my favorite website, I noticed this really awesome slipcover, which drew me in, as is often the case with the slipcover kings, VS!"
