Details

In 1980, Lucio Fulci's ZOMBIE became one of the most infamous and celebrated films of the undead.  In 2023, Vinegar Syndrome released the official comic adaptation of that film in its definitive edition. NOW comes the blood soaked sequel, which picks up right where the film and the comic series left off, and spirals into epic new heights of action, mayhem, madness and gore. As the zombies march on New York City, an insane army colonel named Louis Fulci has taken matters into his own hands, organizing a bold and ruthless guerrilla warfare campaign that corrals the living dead by the thousands into the legendary Times Square red light district of 42nd Street and burns them with napalm. To rid the world of the living dead, the Deuce must die! And that's just the beginning. Because meanwhile, on the island of Matool, Doctor David Menard has risen from the dead, joining forces with the mysterious witch doctor Biacando, and they are building an army of hideous mutated "new breed" zombies. In his cruel torture chamber of technological insanity, Menard combines science with sorcery... and the result is hell on earth! It's up to our heroes Peter West and Ann Bowles to stop them, but Colonel Fulci may have a thing or two to say about that. As they battle each other, the undead threat goes ever more fearsome, until the moment when personal differences, petty vendettas and human fear must be put aside. Because in the final battle, only the righteous will survive. It all ends in a dazzling war of the Dead that you will never forget, filled with fire, blood, machine gun madness and dark magic. Oh, and helicopters. Lots of helicopters.

More than two decades in the making, this scintillating sequel is unlike any movie adaptation yet created, the brainchild of cult author Stephen Romano, whose long running series of comic books based on the films of Fulci have been praised by critics and fans the world over. In this final epic chapter of his zombie series, Romano teams with artist Pat Carbajal of bottom feeder to create a relentless experience in horror, action and outright human endurance that you will find impossible to put down.

Great sequel to the comic and movie

"This is how comic sequels are done. This is a truly epic sequel to the first comic and the movie that brings what was only hinted at at the end of the movie. It’s a full scale action/horror with Lucio Fulci himself in it. Well worth picking up to suppprt Eibon Press."
