"Excellent edition. Would like to see a 4K down the line."
"Movie: This feels like an honest attempt to depict a complex series of events without oversimplifying it. The use of more abstract sets in some scenes heightened the emotions and also contrasted with the recreations of famous real-world images (not to mention the use of actual footage of real events at one point). This reminded me of the first part of One Battle After Another, as well as "Stop making your point so ineffectively" from Futurama: Into the Wild Green Yonder. Great to see an early Ving Rhames performance. Extras: The interview is solid, although not very long (maybe 10-15 minutes). The gallery is also not very many photos. Packaging: Bonis points for reversible cover, and both sides are solid."
"Patty Hearst is a fantastic film directed by Paul Schrader (The Comfort of Strangers)! Based on Patricia Hearst's autobiography the script penned by Nicholas Kazan (At Close Range) tells Patricia's vision of her horrific ordeal by the hands of a group of far-left terrorists, the Symbionese Liberation Army (SLA). Natasha Richardson, William Forsythe and Ving Rhames are brilliant in their respective roles! It would be amazing if Distribpix or Mèlusine could release the two sexploitation films based on the life of Patricia Hearst: Patty (1976), directed by Robert L. Roberts and starring Jamie Gillis; and Tanya (1976), directed by Nate Rodgers and starring Maria Arnold. I would also like to highlight the beautiful Dana Delany as one of the terrorists of the SLA and ask VS to release her 1994 film, Exit to Eden, on UHD. It would make a great VSU!"
"way cooler and more engrossing than i was expecting!"
"quality film"
"Very fascinating look into the Patty Hearst case."
"One of the few Paul Schrader films I hadn't seen, so I'm glad I was able to pick it up. Good performances all around, but Natasha Richardson really steals the show."
"Paul Schrader can be hit or miss. This is not one of this top films, but it is also not one of his worst films. I definitely recommend picking up this film about Hearst and the SLA"
"True crime story told with a great cast"
