What did I just watch??
"Goofy as all hell. Some of the driest acting I’ve ever seen in a movie. Watch it now"

Aliens have long integrated themselves among the human population to the point that they are physically indistinguishable, except for their uniquely pointed ears; a physical trait they go to great lengths to hide or have surgically altered in order to fully blend into human society. Lemro, an alien, has found his calling on earth working as a private investigator. One day a beautiful and mysterious woman visits his office and shares the story of a mysterious disc shaped artifact which has the potential to destroy the human race, begging for Lemro's help in preventing such devastation. Initially uncertain if he should take the case, Lemro quickly finds himself embroiled in an intergalactic drug smuggling ring hellbent on turning every human into a mindless junkie. Putting his investigative - and martial arts skills - to the ultimate test, Lemro begins a deadly fight to smash the drug smuggling operation while racing against time to unlock the secret of the mysterious disc before it is too late.
Part sci-fi, part neo-noir, part action movie, and a pure passion project for all involved, Alien Private Eye is a genre-bending powerhouse of gut crushing fight scenes and neon fueled, hazy atmospherics. Starring actor and professional kickboxer Nicholas Hill (credited as Nikki Fastinetti) and directed by future TV writer Vik Rubenfeld (credited only as Viktor), Alien Private Eye has remained mostly unseen since the days of VHS and makes its world Blu-ray debut from Vinegar Syndrome, featuring a brand new 4K restoration from its original camera negative.

"Goofy as all hell. Some of the driest acting I’ve ever seen in a movie. Watch it now"
"This is such an oddball. It's pretty goofy most of the time but has moments if seriousness that leave you scratching your head. Best part: dance scene!"
"Amazing special effects, out of this world costumes. Surprise subject of worship. The rules for the drug were confusing, but im sure ill understand after 99 times."
"I realize I’ll never be as awesome, fashionable, confident, or have the raw sex appeal of Lemro. But Alien Private Eye allows me to live vicariously through him."
"Couldn’t be more hilariously 80s if it tried. Definitely not smooth criminals"
"Synopsis: Fedora wearing ALIEN PRIVATE EYE Lemro randomly rescues damsel in distress Renee from some thugs looking for some sort of disc. When she finds out he's an alien she bails but that's okay because the next day a babe alien hires him to retrieve the jet black disc with odd writing on it that Renee had. It seems everyone is after this device so Lemro takes the case to protect earth as well as his own planet from ruthless gangster Kilgore, who injects people with a powerful space drug called Soma to ensure loyalty. This puts Lemro right back into Renee's orbit. Review: In the first 10 minutes you get two fight scenes, two separate dance scenes and an alien exposing love-making scene complete with nudity and Spock ears. Does it go downhill from there? Slightly, but we are still treated to some really good action sequences. Just not that much more dancing. Nikki Hill is a pretty decent action hero though. Carnage Count 2/5 Sleaze Score 2/5"
"Movie could have been better. But if you enjoy low budget sci fi film I'd give it a watch. Really nice transfer though"
"Very cool release of this movie. Vinegar Syndrome never disappoints. Excited to check this out."
"Amazing artwork on the slipcover. Outstanding release. The quality of the entire package is incredible."
"I had fun watching the main character get into shenanigans! It’s just a fun, cheesy flick and I never felt bored. Recommended ."
