I’m A Madman!
"Gaylen Ross should’ve done more, she’s so watchable, as is this release of madman, standard slasher release from back a little ways you may not know! Good practical effects, check this one out for sure!"

Years ago, Madman Marz violently murdered his family only to escape into the woods before his execution could be completed. Legend has it that anyone who calls his name above a whisper can summon him back to continue his bloody rampage. But teenage Richie, away at camp, doesn't believe the old legend and calls his name. As night falls, strange things start happening at camp and soon Madman Marz is back, axe in hand, to finish the killing spree he started decades ago. "Synopsis: At a campfire campers and counselors were regaled of the story of Madman Mars, who murdered his family before being axed to the face and hung only to disappear the next day. Legend has it that if you say his name too loud he'll kill you and your friends, so of course a smart ass not only shouts his name he taunts him. The story teller makes it seem like the story is made up, which is kind of cruel because he scarred young children for life, but shortly after the story ends people start getting hung and slashed with an Excaliburesque axe. Review: I appreciate what this attempted to do but everything about what happens during the course of the film makes no sense. That being said there is a great sense of tension and fear throughout and Madman Mars is a formidable foe. Carnage Count 3/5 Sleaze Score 3/5"
"Another first time watch that I'm glad got a quality release from Vinegar Syndrome"
"I recently revisited this and enjoyed it quite a bit. More than I remembered, actually. There's nothing like an early '80s slasher film on a Saturday night. As one of Vinegar Syndrome's earlier releases it set the stage for their future releases: nice looking transfers and interesting bonus material. How come this never spawned a franchise?"
"Camp of camps but such a fun movie!"
"Early 80's slasher at its cheesiest. The kills were ridiculous in their looks and executions. Another amazing commentary by The Hysteria Continues!"
"Madmans a great flick, regular rotation"
"One my favorite"
