Ninja Zombie is the hero we need right now. Shot on Super 8 film in Chicago by director Mark Bessenger, this action-horror hybrid tells the story of Jack—a young martial arts expert who is slain by evil cult leader Spithrachne, only to be resurrected as the vengeance-fueled Ninja Zombie. An explosion of high-kicking, guts-spilling splendor, Ninja Zombie lands at the intersection of 1980s Marvel Comics and The Toxic Avenger, a true Venn diagram of joy and ambition in underground filmmaking.

Reviews
Brilliant!
"This was a blind buy for me - but having read about it, I knew I would love it. Superbly entertaining and it’s easy to see everyone involved had a great time. I was lucky enough to be able to purchase it whilst the limited edition slipcover edition was still available. Yet another superb release from Bleeding Skull."

Ninja Upgrade!
"Firstly, I absolutely love this film. The bad guy in it is hilariously OTT and the whole thing is completely absurd, but great fun. Secondly, there was no way I was missing out on an upgrade to Blu. I've not compared the DVD and Blu Ray and therefore I'm going on memory, but I think it's safe to say it does look better. If you've not seen this film before and you like low-budget trash then I highly recommend it."
— Sam N. (5/5)
Another great picture by Bleeding
"Another great picture by Bleeding Skull, I'm happy I held off on the video release as this one has a few more worthwhile extras. I love the end theme so catchy I wished they played it more throughout the movie. The transfer is surprisingly nice for a 8 mm film. Lots of low budget fun and some cheesy as hell martial art sequences. Great purchase."
— Bryan K. (5/5)
Ninja zombie
"Ninja Zombie is a delightfully off-the-wall horror-action hybrid that embraces its outrageous premise with infectious enthusiasm. The film’s low-budget ingenuity, energetic fight scenes, and quirky sense of humor give it a unique cult appeal. It’s a wildly entertaining DIY genre oddity that rewards fans who love creative, anything-goes independent filmmaking."
— Jeffrey W. (5/5)
Great fun
"If you don't have the earlier DVD put out by AGFA, buy this immediately. It is tremendous fun and everything "do it yourself" filmmaking should be. It's a mixed bag otherwise. I was a fan and there are a few new extras. Plus I knew the slipcover would sell out fast. For other owners of the DVD, I'd only recommend it if you are a real fan. Since it's taken off a tape master, it isn't really much of a tradeup picture wise. But as a film, it is a masterpiece. Highly recommended to newcomers. Tossup if you have the earlier disc."

Happily Glad To Upgrade My DVD
"^Which is a wild thing to say about a movie shot on Super 8 and then never released that would have continued to be all-but-forgotten were it not for AGFA and Bleeding Skull. Image looks slightly improved, even though the video source is still the BETA-SP master tapes. All the special features were retained, and some new video interviews/introductions/essays were added. This is still a wild one to watch from the ninja-obsessed early ‘90s, and arguably features the best amalgamation of ninjas and zombies since Godfrey Ho!"

Bleeding Skull rarely disappoints
"Another banger from Bleeding Skull. Even though I didn't notice any difference in picture quality, I wanted to support the label because this was one of my first AGFA discs that I fell in love with. Happy to have this one on Blu with that awesome slipcover"
— Joseph G. (4/5)
