Wonderful Zine

"Wonderful zine released by Vinegar Syndrome. Nice companion piece to their film releases that goes into further details about their process as well as highlighting artists and people involved with the film preservation. Always looking forward to these releases."

Cool And Interesting Magazine

"Cool little magazine that has info on the behind the scenes of VS. The interviews with the employees who work there and the insider on the restoration work is interesting. I like the art and the look of the publication too. I hope they keep doing these."

Zine Die = "Sine die" Passion

"Vinegar Zinedrome #2 from Vinegar Syndrome is a cult film zine that explores different corners of genre cinema and its community. The issue includes a staff spotlight on Evie Horn, an article on The Beastmaster’s visual effects, an interview with the band Haunt Love, an introduction to Hong Kong’s extreme Category III cinema by Samm Deighan, and a discussion with filmmaker Sam DiCristino about his film Full of Hell. Overall, it mixes film criticism, interviews, and cult cinema history aimed at fans of underground and exploitation films. This fanzine feels like a natural extension of the Vinegar Syndrome philosophy: celebrating forgotten films, exploring the people behind them, and keeping the culture of cult cinema alive through thoughtful writing and passionate fandom. For collectors of Vinegar Syndrome releases and lovers of obscure genre cinema, it’s a fascinating companion piece to the label’s ever-growing catalog."

Jaume M. (5/5)

Still room for improvement.

"As others have said, a slight drop in manufacturing quality compared to the first issue makes the price a little steep. Two articles are excellent- the Beastmaster one and the Category III one. More of this please, on the technical and restoration aspects. Not keen on the inclusion of an interview with the band Full Of Hell though. This is a mistake made by a lot of fanzines back in the old days. Metal zines including movies and movie zines including music. No. Keep the focus on the main subject matter. Would love to see more pages, and more focus on technical aspects, plus even how you actually go about acquiring movies, rights, etc."

Glad to see Vinegar Zine-Drome Issue #2 out in the world

"Glad to see that VS continue the zine series! Perhaps we were a little spoiled with the glossy cover and perfect binding of the first issue, and because of that, the presentation for Issue #2 felt slightly underwhelming. The content is aces though, and I actually prefer it to the first issue, and I hope VS keep them coming!"

"I love that the zine is back! This one is a quick read and a bit shorter than some of others from VinSyn recently but I’m glad to have quality little zines like this coming out semi regularly!"
