Details

This listing is for the standard edition Blu-ray. The limited edition slipcover (designed by Black Coffiend) was limited to 2,000 units and is sold out. The two versions are identical, aside from the slipcover.

Umbrella Entertainment has been a 100% Australian-owned and operated distributor for over 20 years. Their vast home entertainment catalogue features an extensive range of Australian classic, cult and exploitation films restored under the eyes of the original filmmakers. All sourced from national archives, underground collectors and local basements.

A DOUBLE SHOCK of undiluted TERROR and SUSPENSE from maverick Ozploitation auteur TERRY BOURKE.

NIGHT OF FEAR
In this groundbreaking, homegrown creepfest, a deranged, reclusive hermit (Norman Yemm) delights in dismembering unwary travellers and keeping company with a colony of rats fed on blood.

When a young woman (Carla Hoogeveen) crashes into one of the madman’s ghoulish road traps, so begins “an unrelenting avalanche of terror” (The Australian).

INN OF THE DAMNED
On a lonely stretch of road, deep in an isolated rainforest, lies an eerie, forgotten Inn. Few travellers stop there now – and those that do… disappear!

Kincaid, an American bounty hunter (Alex Cord), is hired to unravel the Inn’s chilling secrets. He is soon confronted by its demented owners (Judith Anderson and Joseph Furst), obsessed with guarding the nightmarish truth within.

Umbrella Entertainment invites you to dim the lights and settle in for an unnerving evening of sadistic violence, red raw horror and ample bare flesh with this classic Ozploitation double bill – newly remastered in high definition from the original 35mm vault materials.

directed by: Terry Bourke
starring: Judith Anderson, Alex Cord, Michael Craig

                          CuriOZity

"The presentation by VS is pretty good. Sadly, the movie itself suffers from familiarity with more popular and enjoyable movies. It's ozploitation, worth checking if you are curious. The great atmosphere doesn't overcome the bad acting and the poor plot."

                          Luc T. (3/5)

                          First Aussie horror films set

"The slipcover looks sick, alas, mine is the standard edition, though that still has the booklet. This is a double bill of films by pioneer director Terry Bourke, with 1 a short film (53 minutes) and the other a whopping 2 hour horror film that also has some western elements in it. A preservation of Aussie horror history, well worth it."

                          Tim V. (4/5)

                          Wonderful Oz

"This one has been on my list for a while. The last sale finally convinced me to take the plunge and, as usual, I am not disappointed by the product at all. An amazing double feature with awesome special features and there's even a booklet insert. This ozploitation buffet is an absolute must. If you're on the fence, do it."

                          Morgan S. (5/5)

                          Fun Aussie exploitation!

"Great package overall! The slipcover was super nice. Definitely recommended."

                          Oskari V. (5/5)

                          Inn of the damned

"Great double bill of Australian horror classics"

                          James T. (5/5)

                          Aussie horror x2

"Inn of the Damned is pretty effective shocker and has some really memorable set pieces. Night of Fear is wild uncomfortable and just so so so nasty. Two really great films. Transfer is good on both and the whole package makes these titles look great! Thanks Umbrella / VS"

                          Darren O. (5/5)

                          Happy With This Blind Buy

"I took a chance on this when it was on sale, and I'm glad I dead! A double feature of Aussie cult horror. And, man, one of my favorite slips--get that on a poster, stat."

                          Evan B. (4/5)

                          Inn of the damned

"I took a chance on this title and it was totally worth it! Great presentation and release!"

                          Chris K. (5/5)

                          Worth getting!

"Both films were good but preferred Inn of the Damned"

                          Fun, Fun, Fun.
