VICE ACADEMY 1-6 is part of our Vinegar Syndrome Archive collection, celebrating forgotten cinematic oddities from the video store era. This collection was inspired by our own brick & mortar video stores, with locations in Bridgeport, CT,Denver, CO,Toronto, ON, and Pittsburgh, PA.
Unique to this line, each numbered limited edition release will come fitted in a specially designed, bottom loading VHS inspired slipcase, while also including a double-sided poster.
These releases will ONLY be available on our website and at participating indie retailers. Absolutely no major retailers will be stocking them. This spot gloss slipcase edition (designed by Robert Sammelin) is strictly limited to 6,000 units and may (but probably not) be followed by a standard edition in the future.

Today, the sagas from the hallowed halls of the esteemed Vice Academy are legendary. From the early years of trapping porn producers to the villain who escaped from a CD-ROM to wreak havoc over the city, the expert hands of Vice Academy cops Holly, Traci, Candy, and Didi always managed to solve crimes and look dazzling while doing so. Capturing devious villains such as Malathion, Queen Bee, Spanish Fly, and Heidi Ho was never easy, but under the watchful eyes and expert tutelage of Ms. Devonshire and the Commissioner, the Vice Academy team always managed to pull it off.
From their debut in the late 1980s, Rick Sloane's VICE ACADEMY movies were a runaway hit for a full decade. Between regular airplay on late-night cable television and popularity at the video store, the series relied upon broad and camp comedy, a rotating stable of B-movie starlets, and inspired riffs on popular culture and hit movies of the day. Alongside Sloane's regular cast and crew, the series includes lead roles by Linnea Quigley (The Return of the Living Dead, The Black Room), Ginger Lynn Allen (New York Ninja, Trashy Lady), Elizabeth Kaitan (Slave Girls from Beyond Infinity, Silent Madness), and Raelynn Saalman (Attack of the 60-Foot Centerfolds, Young Blood Fresh Meat). Finally nabbed from their original negatives by Vinegar Syndrome Archive, all six saucy entries have been booked and await indictment.

Reviews
Goofy fun
"Picture quality on these films is outstanding. . presentation of the films inside a sweet hard box cover. It's quite a commitment from VS to secure all 6 films in one set. However, goofy fun only goes so far. One would think these films are full of t&a but that's not the case. Less than 30 seconds per film. Boooo that's why the 4 stars. There should be in these type of films 5 minutes + in each film."

Love These Movies!
"The peerless VS restoration process was on full display with stellar sound and picture! Thank you, VS, for continuing to lovingly restore and release so many wonderful films from every conceivable genre! You are keeping physical media alive in this streaming world we now live in! Highly recommended!"
— Paul K. (5/5)
If you like fun, watch these!
"These movies are a sight to behold. It’s insane that six of these were made. They’re so silly. Very over the top. Incredibly silly."

A more complete collection
"One of Vinegar Syndrome's initial VSA releases was dedicated to the first three films in the "Vice Academy" series. At the time, it was a most welcome release and harkened back to the days of "USA Up All Night", where films like this and other various cult classics played from 11PM until the crack of dawn. This collection, collecting all six films, is a greater improvement over the previous one, whose looks and colors were decent to begin with. Everything is more top-notch thanks to what has been worked with, all housed in the same sturdy box as the previous release, and including previous extras but adding so many more to boot. It's truly a love letter to all of the fans of the "Vice Academy" series, as well as the creators and actresses that brought the characters and stories to life."
— Jeff M. (5/5)
Unnecessary overlap, but great to have!
"I love VS’s commitment to this cheesy series. As someone who already owns the previous 1-3 release, this is a little unnecessarily redundant, but it looks great on the shelf and it’s fun to have the whole series on blu!"
— Patrick F. (3/5)
80s babe party
"Picked up Vice Academy purely because seeing Linnea Quigley and Ginger Lynn immediately sold me. It’s the exact kind of over-the-top late night video store nonsense I can never resist. Ridiculous costumes, chaotic energy, dumb jokes, and absolutely zero shame about any of it. Sometimes you want a serious horror movie, and sometimes you want something that feels like it was made at 2am on pure camp and a dream."
— Kenia C. (5/5)
Quigley!
"this sexy, slapstick spoof series follows a hilariously charming group of undercover vice cops as they tackle everything from rogue porn producers to cartoonish villains. Boasting iconic performances from B-movie royalty like Linnea Quigley and Ginger Lynn Allen, the entire 6-film saga delivers pure, unadulterated '90s nostalgia packed with non-stop laughs and delightfully campy fun."
— Kevin G. (5/5)
Fiannly the whole series!
"This is great for those who missed out on the first trilogy, why bother Because now you can get the whole series with better art on slip"
— Edward S. (5/5)
These movie are a great time.
"I haven't seen all of them yet, but the ones I did see were amusing enough. Also the poster is very nice and the packaging is top notch."
— Jelmer B. (5/5)
The Vice Academy 1–6 set
"The Vice Academy 1–6 set is a fun, trashy ride with that signature low-budget charm, and the overall Presentation makes it easy to binge the whole series. The Box itself is sturdy and nicely designed, even if it feels a bit redundant for longtime collectors. I appreciated the inclusion of a Commentary track that adds some context and behind-the-scenes stories, but I was a little disappointed that the set includes the first three films since I already owned them from another Vinegar Syndrome release. I really love the antagonist of the third and fourth one Malathion. ( the girl with the green hair. )"
