Ted and Mary have just moved, with their two young daughters, to the sleepy coastal town of Gull Island so that Ted can complete work on his thesis. Everything couldn’t seem more picturesque about their new, seaside home…that is, except for the increasing number of aggressively behaving birds. After surviving an unprovoked nighttime avian invasion, Ted becomes determined to figure out the cause of their unusual behavior; an investigation which leads him to uncover the sinister goings on in the nearby waters. All the while, the birds increase their now deadly attacks, moving up from family pets to human victims…

One of the handful of direct-to-cable-television horror movies produced in the early to mid 90s by Universal, THE BIRDS II: LAND’S END is a jaw dropping animal attack spectacle from director Rick Rosenthal (Halloween II) which stars Brad Johnson (Always), James Naughton (Cat’s Eye), Chelsea Field (Master of the Universe), and Tippi Hedren (The Birds). Never released on disc, Vinegar Syndrome brings this notorious sequel to Blu-ray, newly restored from its 35mm interpositive and featuring comprehensive interviews with cast and crew.

    Reviews

    Fun bird terror flick

"It is definitely not Hitchcock but still a fun little bird terror flick with elements of family drama and entertaining characters. Great audio and video presentation. Comes with a bunch of extra features and nifty artwork on the slipcover and reversible sleeve"

    Kresh R. (3/5)

The Birds II: Land's End (Limited Edition Slipcover)

"Didn't even know there was a sequel to one of my all-time favorite Hitchcock films, so morbid curiosity led me to this purchase. The fact that director Rick Rosenthal wanted his name off it and changed it to "Alan Smithee" should tell you everything. Great release, either way!"

    Andreas S. (5/5)

Not as good as the first

"While this was an alright film, I think I had a little bit too high of expectations for this one, not as good as the first one but sequels rarely are."

    James S. (4/5)

    Great for a TV movie

"A great way to kill 2 hours. 90’s tv movies were a vibe. Worthy sequel."

    Jeffrey L. (4/5)

    Fun TV Horror Sequel

"Cheesy horror-drama sequel to the original. Highly recommended for fans of the genre! 4/5 stars!"

    Stephen H. (4/5)

    A cheesy pleasure. This one

"A cheesy pleasure. This one was more of a blind buy since I hadn't seen the whole thing in years."

    Brad Y. (5/5)

    A fun sequel that's not

"A fun sequel that's not as terrible as everyone says. Tippi Hendren involved tho not in her original role. Great slip. Great transfer. The extras are bountiful. Another one worth your shelf space."

    Jared L. (5/5)

    It's a subpar sequel

    "It's a subpar sequel"

    Matt W. (2/5)

Not as good as the original

"The Birds 2 was a TV movie made after Hitchcock's death. It is no where near the quality of the original. That being said, if you go in knowing it is a made-for-TV horror, it can be a fun outing."

    Kenneth J. (3/5)

    Birds 2

"Transfer looks great. The movie is decent. Not my favorite killer bird movie."

    Daniel W. (4/5)
