Reviews
A Delightful Dive into Forgotten Broadcast Horrors
"Televised Terror: Volume One is a treasure trove of strange, low-budget broadcasts that range from chillingly surreal to gleefully absurd. Each segment captures a unique moment in television history, from obscure horror shorts to experimental live performances, and the care in restoration brings out details long lost to time. The set’s charm lies in its unpredictability and the weird energy of productions that were never meant to endure beyond their original airings. If this is only Volume One, then we need Volume Two immediately because there is clearly more buried oddity to unearth and fans of obscure broadcast horror will be eagerly awaiting the next installment."

Vintage atmosphere
"This is a good selection of TV movies with a horror thriller theme. Some good actors make up for the lack of blood and sex, I was pleased with this box set."

Enjoyed all 3 movies in this set
"All 3 of these were worth watching. Unexpectedly liked the 1990 film the most - Child in the Night - one of the two with Tom Skerritt, here playing opposite JoBeth Williams as more complex characters than you'd expect (aided by some solid snappy dialogue in parts) and a lot of fun chemistry. The rest of the cast doesn't hurt! But I liked all of these. Main complaint would be that the audio essay extras just sit on a static screen, bad if you have an OLED TV and are worried about burn-in, so I sadly haven't listened to them at all; I was actually excited for those. Packaging-wise, nice case, mixed art (Child in the Night. . . not so great), and while they put some thought into the inner-sleeve and disc art design, it's monotonous matching across the three and all gray. Would like a second set with some presentational tweaks, but that doesn't seem to be in the cards."

One of the best collections released by Vinegar Syndrome!
"One of the best collections released by Vinegar Syndrome! - Are You in the House Alone? from 1978 is a well done mix of thriller and domestic drama elements. Amazing performances by Kathleen Beller and Dennis Quaid! - Calendar Girl Murders from 1984 is a successful detective mystery mixed with glamour photography. Tom Skerritt and Sharon Stone have great chemistry! Barbara Bosson is also fantastic playing the wife of Lieutenant Dan Stoner (Tom Skerritt)! - Child in the Night from 1990 is a study of trauma wrapped under the cover of a police procedural. Tom Skerritt and JoBeth Williams are in perfect alignment! They really sell the building of their relationship! Elijah Wood, in of his earlier roles, is also incredible! I would also like to mention the amazing audio essays by Amanda Reyes! And to finish this review I would like to ask Vinegar Syndrome to take into consideration the following TV movies starring Kathleen Beller: - Deadly Messages (1985) - No Place to Hide (1981) - Rappaccini's Daughter (1980) - Cloud Waltzing (1987)"

A perfect cure for those who are craving 80s and 90s tv vibes.
"Im probably going to be a little bias here, because I nabbed this when it was $30 in a flash sale, but I had a really good time with these, for anyone who grew up with late night TV movies, this'll be a pure injection of nostalgia directly into your face. Of the three I think 'Child in the night' was my personal favourite, But theres something in this set for everyone honestly. Its dissapointing they wont be doing a volume 2, so I say grab this one while you can, before its gone for good!"
— Daniel D. (4/5)
