However, her sense of security is short-lived as soon after her arrival, various members of the community begin to vanish. Determined to find out what’s going on, Ronald, Alex, and their friends discover that evil Mayor Mostert is eliminating all homeless people using an experimental chemical known only as “Viper” – a substance that melts through flesh and turns human bone into puddles of goo…

Reviews
er. . . I don't know about this one. . .
"Sorry guys, but I really couldn't get in to this. While some of it was mildly humorous, it was definitely not as hilarious as it wanted to be. There was certainly plenty of splattering fluids everywhere, but even that got rather tired pretty fast. I didn't hate it, but it just wasn't great. Nice packaging and stuff. Might watch the extras one day, but then again, I might not."

They got me
"I was a big fan of the original Street Trash. Rented that video tape many times back in the early 90s. Never knew it was remade until seeing this VS release. Initially I passed, thinking it was a movie that didn’t need a remake. However, after it sold out a few came up on a Labor Day OOP sale and I couldn’t resist. Between fomo and the incredible packaging/artwork, they got me. I ended up half liking and disliking this new Street Trash. I like that it’s really not a remake at all. It’s more of a sequel. The original was pretty lean on story, as I recall, but this new installment expands on the original concepts, giving them a little more meaning and purpose. Maybe that goes against the intent of the original Street Trash, but I did like that aspect. What I really didn’t like was the characters. The first half of the film spends too much time with characters I found annoying and uninteresting. Even cringeworthy at times. However, when this movie finally pops off, the second half is its saving grace. The action is enjoyable and the special effects are impressive. There are several melting scenes in the first half, but the ending is bonkers. For that, it was a good time."
