Before becoming known for their over-the-top action spectacles, Cannon Films dabbled in the early 80s slasher craze, producing a handful of original slice n’ dice classics, two of which are presented here on 4K UHD for the first time, from Vinegar Syndrome!

"Would love to see more 4K double features like this"
"Both films look great on this new 4K release. A necessary upgrade!"
"Movies: Schizoid: A fun enough watch, and it actually surprised me with one more twist than I was expecting. I might even do a rewatch sometime. Klaus Kinski feels understated compared to other roles I've seen him in, possibly because there are a couple of other performances that take some wild swings. He's only in a few scenes, but Christopher Llyod has a really great bit that made me LOL. X-Ray: This movie is kind of exasperating. It somehow portrays a hospital less realistically than Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, which is honestly the more frightening watch on top of being funny. The nightmare logic of how a woman becomes ensnared by the medical system would've been a great premise if it had been remotely believable, if it had been a dark comedy, or even if there had a been a supernatural element that suspended belief. Unfortunately, in this movie you just get one nonsense event after another, and it was incredibly frustrating. This _desperately_ needs a group of people to watch with, so that you can at least enjoy pointing out the *layered* ways in which nothing makes sense. Extras: Multiple solid interviews, none of which drag too long. Plus always nice to have the trailer (although it's only for Schizoid) Packaging: Bonus points for reversible cover."
"Transfers for both films were excellent. Blind buy for me. I liked Schizoid, but I really enjoyed X-Ray and now I have another Valentines day horror to throw in the mix."
"These movies are not great, but they’re are pretty enjoyable. X-Ray is favorite of the two. Great releases by VS."
"Schiziod :An advice columnist in the midst of getting a divorce begins receiving threatening notes from an anonymous stalker. Meanwhile, members of her group therapy session are being murdered by an unknown assailant. X-Ray: More of a Hospital Slasher (Similiar to Visiting Hours) A Great 4K scan & transfer. awesome double feature!"
"This is a crazy one glad it got the UHD treatment it deserves it"
"David Paulsen, who wrote and produced a lot of great nighttime soaps from the 80s (Dallas, Knots Landing, Dynasty), tries to do his best with this sleazy Italian type of vibe with Klaus Kinski doing his best at being horny and unsettling. First part works fine then kind of loses me near middle-end part. Wish it had a little more sex in it. X-Ray is an okay double feature. Great restoration and slipcover."
"Schizoid / X-Ray have been upgraded to 4k. I purchased this release because of X-Ray, I wished a standalone version of each would been released. Recommended for B Horror movie lovers out there!"
