"Restoration looks great and it has a ton of interesting and fun special features. honestly this and Scanner Cop 2 rip."
Rookie cop Sam Staziak (Daniel Quinn, Wild At Heart) has a unique gift: he is a Scanner, which gives him the power to read the thoughts of others, and also to inflict great bodily harm...and death. To repress his abilities, he takes a medication designed to keep Scanners sane and rational and from exacting harm on others. When a mad scientist named Karl Glock (Richard Lynch, Invasion USA) begins using mind control to murder police officers, Sam realizes that only he and his unique gift can put an end to the mayhem and uncover the identity and diabolical motives of this bloodthirsty madman...

"Restoration looks great and it has a ton of interesting and fun special features. honestly this and Scanner Cop 2 rip."
"This movie is a wild ride, a nice mix of cop work and classic cronenberg body horror, the atmosphere and tension delivers and this movie really holds up. And the picture quality is flawless and awesome transfer. And the script and story is just top notch."
"Scanner Cop is a slick and entertaining sci-fi thriller that expands the Scanners universe with confidence and style. The film’s practical effects and psychic set pieces deliver plenty of visceral fun. It stands as a solid cult favorite, especially for fans of ’90s genre cinema and Cronenberg-inspired ideas."
"I had a ton of fun while watching this!"
"Movie: Has some good elements but doesn't particularly elevate the material. The special effects are overall solid, although the best moment comes at the beginning and the movie cuts away from what should be the big moment at the climax. Surprisingly weak copaganda elements. Daniel Quinn as the titular lead does a good job being a rookie officer, but then moves quickly into recklessness once the plot gets going, and there's only a token attempt to interrogate whether what he's doing is right or not. Always nice to see Richard Lynch. Extras: An okay making-of featurette, but structured as the first of a two parter (the second comes with Scanner Cop II). Packaging: Bonus points for reversible cover. Choice of the original poster or the new artwork, and both look pretty great."
"This is a really fun movie if you like 90s movies with cheesy special effects. It's not "good" per say, but it's fun. Great looking transfer as well. Recommended."
"Scanner cop is a good 90s movie"
"This looks at first as a cop movie but soon, the Viewer realizes that director Pierre David Is on the wings of David Cronenberg (they even share the "David"!) when he presents the story of a police named Stan Staziak who Is a scanner, and if you have seen Cronenberg's Scanners you know what you're into with this restoration!"
"I didn't have very high expectations, but this movie is actually quite entertaining. It's of course not anywhere close to the original Cronenberg classic, but if you can accept the concept, then I promise you, you're in for a great ride, and the sequel is great too!"
"I see Richard Lynch in the cast list and I know I’m in for a good time. Very good practical effects and some of the better acting in the Scanner sequels"
