Artie Logan has a history of getting himself in trouble. He's been kicked out of every school he's attended and is no friend to the law, which makes matters extra complicated for his wealthy father, who happens to be a judge. Given one last chance, Artie is shipped off to Fairfield College. But when his new fling, and senator's daughter, Tally, is burned to death by an unknown assailant, suspicion immediately falls on Artie. Adamant of his innocence, he's granted a 24 hour period in which to unmask the actual culprit. As his hours of freedom dwindle, the killer strikes again and again...

A twisted hybrid of slasher and giallo, ALL-AMERICAN MURDER is the sole theatrical feature by acclaimed actor and TV director, Anson Williams (Happy Days) and co-stars Academy Award winner Christopher Walken (The Deer Hunter), Charlie Schlatter (18 Again), and Josie Bissett (TV's Melrose Place). Tightly paced, suspenseful, and featuring an array of unexpectedly grisly murders, Vinegar Syndrome is proud to bring this under-seen piece of early 90s horror to Blu-ray, newly restored in 2K from its 35mm interpositive.

Reviews

Lost good film. A1 worth watching.

"This was a film that passed me by originaly . A good film, well anything with Christopher Walken in is good. Well supported cast Charlie Schlater shines out under the shadow of Walken which is not easy. Blu ray upgrade is good. Nice packaging with double cover available. A 1 job done again at VS."

Ferris Bueller murdery mystery. . . ?

"Went into this movie blind, and was thrown off by the insane tonal shift and overall vibe. Feels like the lead is doing a bad Ferris Bueller impression and then I discovered he played Ferris in the spin-off TV show! Happy to add this nutso movie to my collection. Great release."

Come For Detective Walken

"Movie: Tonally this is felt very erratic, veering from the protagonist who seems like they could be in a Buffy ripoff, to some almost Lynchian elements, then to a compelling performance by Christopher Walken as a detective. Plus Richard Kind is there, playing another cop with yet another tone going on. It's definitely engaging to watch; I was never bored as the movie kept throwing unexpected things at me. I figured out the mystery probably around halfway through, but it was still neat to watch it play out. Shout out to the dean's wife who regularly cheats on him and has a line early on about ~"having gone through more students than Kent state" (I wish I could remember it exactly). Extras: Both interviews are a good length and have some nice anecdotes about making the movie. Packaging: Bonus points for reversible cover."

Good STV 90s thriller

"Typical, cheesey, college murder flick that I found more enjoyable than I thought it would be. There's nothing groundbreaking here, and the production values are what you would expect from something that went straight to video. Still it was fun to watch with some decent gory murders."

Great 90s forgotten horror film brought back to life!

"Very underrated 90s film. The cast is amazing. Plot is pretty original. High quality restoration. Case has really cool art! High quality Vinegar Syndrome release. Very happy with this purchase!"

Mitch O. (5/5)

Direct-to-video classic from the 90s

"A strange, terrible movie with a unique vibe and an amusing script. Very enjoyable release. Obviously, Christopher Walken steals the show with his presence and peculiar line delivery."
