Following a well-needed two-year hiatus, the erudite Dr. Francis B. Gröss returns to further ponder and expose the mysteries of death. Hardly content with his initial morbid surveys of the forbidden, rarely discussed topic of how life ends, he pushes further to show nature's wintry grasp on life, how finality arrives in the boxing ring, and other lethal sights so shockingly primal they beg to be seen. Enthusiastically expanding his sweeping investigations on crime and human atrocities, Gröss paints a shattering and unparalleled portrait of mortality.
Following the unprecedented success of its shocking predecessor, the filmmakers behind Faces of Death created a film even more unsettling in its stark and unflinching realism, offering an even deeper descent into the depravity and savagery of humanity with FACES OF DEATH II (1981). From fatal accidents to the unspeakable cruelty of war, medical experiments, and other abominable acts too heinous to describe, no facet of man’s destruction of his fellow man is left unexplored. Vinegar Syndrome Archive reluctantly brings this even more notorious sequel to 4K UHD and Blu-ray, presented in its fully uncut and uncensored original theatrical version, available for the first time on video in the US, newly restored from its 35mm negative.

Reviews
Not for the faint-hearted !
"As with the original FoD - another superb presentation from VS. To me, FoD II focuses more on things people deliberately do - whether to put themselves at risk or inflict pain/suffering/death on others. The accompanying blu-ray disc is Region A so needs a multiregion player if you’re outside the U. S. /Canada. Superb quality very sturdy slipcase, reversible artwork for the disc case."

More FOD from VSA
"I bought this for a friend, so I cannot say aynthing about the actual content of this release. However, the slipcase in the typical VSA style looks really nice and sturdy. The artwork is simplistic, but fits perfectly in line the release of the first movie. Shame these sold out that fast. Here is to hoping for a Box set with all FOD movies some time in the future."

I'm so happy to get
"I'm so happy to get Volume 2 of Faces Of Death II in a fancy slipcase and everything. I kinda liked this one a bit better than the first one but both are definitely watches especially for historical purposes. Nice amount of extras too. Great release!"

Death will do us part. Terrific, isn't it !!.
"OK, so some scenes are made in the studio. But if your a Faces of Death fanatic, this is a great sequel to the original. Rememeber, the fake scenes are to show us that this type of death does exist. So dont knock it. In fact , that reminds me, I need to place my order for Faces of Death III !. I just love this deathly saga!!. Until we meet again, here, or in the hereafter!!. C-ya."

Awesome volume 2
"Another beautiful box with killer artwork. The restoration looks great and the sound is really crisp as well. The Faces of death series are legendary documentaries in my opinion, crazy and shocking but also very entertaining. If you haven’t seen any of them this is the best time to jump in with this beautiful version from vinegar syndrome."

Faces of death 2: electric boogaloo!
"Got some cools features on this release, I don't remember seeing this until my 20's maybe? Still thought it was cool and taboo. The sound and picture are far superior from the original release lol. VS doing the FOD some fan service with these great releases!"
— Evan D. (5/5)
More death and destruction
"Another fantastic release on the VSA line, this has been stunningly restored and looks fantastic. I certainly my did not expect these movies to get this lavish treatment. This continues in the same vein as the original with more death footage. These mix fake and some real footage it’s just a shame there is the animal footage on these as it really is hard to watch. These releases with the gorgeous packaging are fantastic! Hopefully we get the rest of the series."

Cool Artwork
"This was a first time watch for me, and I think I actually like it better than the first one. I see it as a really interesting snapshot in time. I just love how the old footage looks. Not for everyone, obviously."
— Shane R. (4/5)
Faces of Death II
"Loving this series of releases, and part 2 is more of the same. Interesting footage with an unfortunate amount of animal content, but nevertheless and interesting slice of exploitation history"
