Their home video line presents a diverse selection of movies, ranging from new preservations of classics from the vast library of Something Weird to the wildest in shot-on-video (SOV) titles. Vinegar Syndrome’s sister company, OCN Distribution, is thrilled to be representing this diverse and unique home video line!

THE MOVIE ORGY is a legendary found footage triumph from Joe Dante—one of genre cinema's most significant masterminds. In 1968, the future director of GREMLINS took an apartment’s worth of 16mm prints and, with the help of producer Jon Davison (ROBOCOP), meticulously created what is quite possibly the world's first found footage megamix. Comprised of commercials, news reels, feature film clips, TV bloopers, and much more, THE MOVIE ORGY is an essential cultural artifact and a psychedelic vortex of mashed-up magnificence. Never available on home video, the film has been preserved from the original 16mm elements by AGFA in partnership with Joe Dante and Jon Davison.

"Joe Dante is a genius. Just the exercise of editing these films, commercials, television specials into a hodgepodge of entertainment is quite incredible. It's funny, eye-opening, and nostalgic. Throw this on late one night and prepare yourself to have a hard time turning it off. It just sucks you with its multiple b-movie plots, and yet Dante fi is a way to make them all connect. Glad I was able to get the killer slipcover with this treasure of a media mixtape."

"At 4 1/2 hours long, unless you want to spend an entire evening in front of the TV, this is a multiple day watching experience! That being said, if you love 1950’s and 60’s sci-fi, horror, monster, western, teen “confidential” movies and TV commercials, this is a LOT of fun! It’s very roughly assembled (obvious splicing and well-worn source material), which adds to the enjoyment and authenticity of the film. Loved it! Would have been better only if, as intended, it could have been seen with an audience."
