Welcome to Bates High School. Today’s lesson: stay on Rachel Lang’s good side, because if you don’t, there will be hellfire to pay! When a group of competitive, oversexed jocks target Rachel as a snitch, it triggers Rachel’s psychic impulse for revenge. While mourning the suicide of her best friend, her rage boils to a fever pitch and Rachel finds herself struggling with her inherited telekinetic powers. Can guidance counselor Sue Snell, survivor of Carrie White's original bloodbath, manage to help Rachel before it's too late? Is there any way to save Rachel from her own supernatural fury or is it destined to destroy her alongside her teenage tormentors?

A chilling sequel from acclaimed cult filmmaker Katt Shea (Stripped to Kill, Streets), THE RAGE: CARRIE 2 stars Emily Bergl (TV's Shameless) along with Jason London (Dazed and Confused), Dylan Bruno (Saving Private Ryan), Zachery Ty Bryan (TV's Home Improvement) and also features Academy Award® nominee Amy Irving (Carrie, The Fury) reprising her role of Sue Snell. Vinegar Syndrome presents this late 90s horror sleeper, which Variety called “an explosion of supernatural violence” on 4K UHD for the very first time, exclusively restored from its original camera negative.

Reviews

The Rage Carrie 2

"This is a great movie. When it first came out, it wasn't well received, but watching it again now, it has actually aged pretty well. It's not anywhere near as good as the original, but it never was going to be. It's a good watch and the 4K transfer is pretty damn good. Only notch against it is the lack of any original or substantial special features, a rarity for VS."

Sean F. (4/5)

Genuinely freaked me out

"This one had been a long time blind spot for me, which is strange because Katt Shea's Poison Ivy is one of my favorites. It makes perfect sense for her to do the sequel to a De Palma film. Both are exploitation experts with a particular passion for war of the genders. While the craft of this sequel isn't on par with the original, the story is superior though, turning it from a "how girls are terrible to each other" story into how men are terrible to girls. . . and the stakes and suspense feel so much higher because of it."

Brian M. (5/5)

Bloody massacre

"I had a fun time with this. The massacre at the ending is bloody awesome."

Mathias S. (4/5)

A nice follow up to the original.

"A good film with a very good transfer to 4k. Nice to know there still. "All going to laugh at you"."

John M. (5/5)

Underrated sequel and a great release

"I liked this a lot more than I expected to. The Rage: Carrie 2 has a very strong late-90s horror vibe, and while it lives in the shadow of the original, it still works as a fun and surprisingly effective sequel. Some really good atmosphere, a sympathetic lead, and a few strong scenes made this an easy one to appreciate. Glad to have it in such a nice edition."

Thomas L. (5/5)

Carrie 2

"I might be in the minority, but I love this movie. It's exactly the kind of late 90s/early aughts flick that I live for. Great aesthetic and soundtrack and angsty teens galore."

Sally F. (5/5)

Solid Sequel

"Of course it's nowhere near the level of the original, but The Rage is a very enjoyable film in its own right, very much a product of the late 90s in every sense. VS' deluxe releases looks splendid, and the extras are quite extensive. If you're a fan of late 90s horror, it's definitely worth checking out."

Kyle S. (5/5)

Great picture quality

"I still enjoyed this one on rewatching it. The PQ on the 4K is great, but I was a little disappointed with the lack of any new bonus material."

Kim S. (4/5)

Rachel Rules

"The Rage Carrie 2 has not looked this good since I saw it opening night in the theater. This edition offers agreat transfer, crisp visuals, and if you haven't seen some stelalr performances from Emily Bergyl and company. Often overlooked in the Carrie overture, the sequel and its timely story should be snatched up and reapprecaited"

Ryan S. (5/5)

Fun watch

"Haven't seen this movie in a while and forgot how much I enjoyed it. Didnt realize VS had released it until I came across it at the store. Picture quality was great and happy to have it in my collection"
