The Keep
"There’s a lot of lore surrounding The Keep, as both a movie and as a Vinegar Syndrome release. I didn’t get an original copy so I was excited to find out about the VSR with new artwork. Overall, this is a unique but tragically flawed movie. The production is incredible; anything filmed in the keep itself feels immersive as if I was really there. The beginning of the movie is mysterious and intriguing. It starts off so strong and it all unravels by the end. The score by Tangerine Dream is also fantastic and adds an even more fanatical element to the film. The special features are plentiful. Artwork, slipcover and booklet are excellent. Great release."

"I definitely have not followed my rules on double dipping this year, this is the 3rd copy of this that I own now. "The Keep is a cult classic which deserves to be in everyones collection. The transfer is outstanding and also on par with Umbrella's release which I also own. You did have the option to choose between two hardbox versions of this movie depending on your selection of which version to purchase. Regardless of which copy you prchase, both are outstanding ."

Great presentation of a very average movie
"The Keep is very interesting as a study in film making and studio intervention, but as a film to watch and enjoy it is sadly lacking. With that said, VS has done a great job putting together this package and presented the movie as well as it ever has been and is probably likely to be. There are plenty of extras included too, so if you're a fan of the movie or just curious about it then you could do a lot worse than buying this release."
