"Calling Buffet Infinity a "horror" movie feels a little limiting; hell, even saying it's a "comedy" (despite the fact that it is quite funny) doesn't fully do it justice. This is a conceptual art piece writ large: using hours of actual local ads, the filmmakers have stitched together a creeping horror story about rival fast food chains. The film is just clever, and I can safely say I've never seen anything quite like it."

"Purchased the standard edition and found the film confounding, exhausting, and intriguing. Interesting concept told through cheesy local commercials; with humor, horror, and sci-fi elements sprinkled throughout. Definitely unique in an Adult Swim kind of way. Overall it’s a fun flick with some nice bonus features."
"The devil is in the details, so you'll benefit the most if you give the commercials your full attention. A lot have subliminal messages. Some of which are less subtle than others. Surprisingly, it was a lot easier connecting the dots (pun intended) than I first anticipated. Great late-night horror bullshit! Buffet Infinity definitely has the sauce! *evil snarl*"
"I'm not going to go into details because it'd only spoil it, but you probably won't have seen too many films like this. I'd liken it a little to Adult Swim Yule Log, although this is nowhere near as entertaining. It's a decent enough film, but it needed to move a little bit quicker for me to maintain interest. Also, I suspect the advertising style will appeal more to Americans than it will others. All in all though I have to applaud the different approach they've taken and I would definitely recommend it."
"Like Tim & Eric made a bunch of Canadian commercials that ended up being all put together as a feature. Weird fever dream stuff, great idea and cool execution. Very creative, inventive and impressive. Had a blast. The same way I can understand people not being into Backrooms, I understand this isn’t for everybody, but it is for me even if I can’t really explain why. For fans of: WNUF Halloween Special, VHYes, Tim & Eric, secondhand anxiousness/awkwardness, making fun of Scientology, Man Finds Tape. I can’t wait to watch the bonus extras."

"I enjoyed this movie a ton - the whole conceit of it being comprised of ads was a treat, and the story itself, of a restaurant slowly expanding and taking over a small town, mirrors our current late stage of capitalism and the culture of endless, mindless consumption we live in. Worth your time if you like weird, eldritch horror or if you can remember watching that Sears air conditioner ad back in 1998."

"As a big fan of WNUF Halloween Special, the fake-local-TV approach immediately caught my attention. This looks like exactly my kind of strange, lo-fi media experiment, and the slipcover is fantastic in person. I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, but I'm very glad I grabbed this edition while the slip was still available."
