Excellent Horror Flick!
"This particular horror flick has a really cool secret and has a very slow burn that makes it a very engaging watch from the beginning to the very end! The slipcover is also awesome, as always! Don't Be Ghosting People
"I feel like there's a lot trying to be said in this feature. It's a commentary on relationships, loneliness, and yearning while also trying to get under your skin and work as a genre picture. I don't feel it quite hits its mark, but I appreciate the big swing effort. Blu Hunt as the lead was great in it, and I look forward to what director Elric Kane brings us next."

Ghost Tinder
"The Dead Thing, directed by Elric Kane, is an intimate blend of erotic drama and slow-burning horror that explores the emptiness of modern relationships. The film centers on a young woman stuck in a repetitive cycle of casual encounters, whose life takes a strange turn after meeting a man with whom she feels an unusually deep connection. When he suddenly disappears, her search for answers pulls her into increasingly unsettling territory. Rather than relying on conventional horror beats, the film leans into mood, ambiguity, and themes like obsession and emotional disconnection, making it a strong fit for the kind of atmospheric genre storytelling associated with Shudder. The U. S. Blu-ray release from Shudder presents the film with a clean 1080p transfer and a presentation that suits its subdued visual style. The edition includes a modest but worthwhile set of extras, such as a commentary track with the filmmakers, a behind-the-scenes featurette, and deleted scenes that add a bit more context to the story. While it’s not an especially packed release in terms of bonus content, it still offers enough material to deepen appreciation of the film, making it a solid option for collectors interested in Shudder’s original productions."
