Reviews
French Underground Nightmare Fuel
"A massive Bleeding Skull set and a real discovery. Pellissier’s handmade French art-horror world sounds like the strange underground cousin of Rollin, with Super 8 slashers, tape-era nightmares, and a full filmography finally gathered in one place. Exactly the kind of release that makes collecting fun."
— Danny W. (5/5)
Pure Nightmares on Film
"What a fantastic collection, any gorehound should seek this out as well as fans of atmospheric Euro horror filmmakers like Jean Rollin. Bleeding Skull does it again!"
— Travell B. (5/5)
Murderation
"Bleeding Skull excel again with this very cool rarity collection of low budget French horror films. The main film is absolute murdercore bliss. Essential."
— Ben C. (5/5)
Freakscene
"Insane unearthed low budget gore from France. What more do you need to know? It's Bleeding Skull, dummy."
— Tony Z. (5/5)
Dr Gore
"Being french I already owned Pellissier previous movies but Horrificia was impossible to find. This compilation is a threat. The last effort Horrificia, is a quite charming mix of amateur acting and endless gore scene often with real guts."
— Brice D. (5/5)
One of the best Bleeding Skull releases
"The main feature on this disc is the best! Heavy on the slasher elements and atmosphere. Fun collection of films from a French horror director. Highly recommended."
— Jeffrey L. (5/5)
Out There
"Folies Meurtrières and the Films of Antoine Pellissier is a strange, hypnotic deep dive into obscure filmmaking that feels as much like a dream as it does a documentary. Pellissier crafts a haunting, almost myth-like portrait that blurs the line between fact and fiction in a really compelling way. It’s definitely a niche watch, but if you’re drawn to experimental cinema, its eerie atmosphere and layered storytelling make it hard to shake."
— Shawn M. (4/5)
Another interesting set
"Still making my way through, reviews of what I've watched so far: Folies Meurtrières 3. 5 stars The Antoine Pellissier set is off to a strong start! What initially seems like a series of slasher vignettes, ash ending with some surprisingly well done DIY gore, ends up being something a bit spookier. We love vengeful ghosts, don’t we folks? The Chosen One of Hell 3 stars This one says right up front it’s inspired by the Exorcist, but it also has a whole lot of Rosemary’s Baby. Les proies du mal 2. 5 stars A frustrating one. This has a strong opening as well as a suitably gooey over the top ending, but it’s way too long for what is offers at 2 hours and 20 minutes. Feels like Girdler’s Asylum of Satan if it got extended out. The score has moments, but didn’t fully click with me to make the dronecore experience work for me."

Brilliant
"Possibly my favourite Bleeding Skull release to date. I’d not previously heard of Antoine Pellissier, but knew this release would be right up my street. An absolutely superb collection of gory low-budget horror. Love Lloyd Kaufman’s performance in ‘Horrificia’ ! Unfortunately I missed out on the slipcover - I had that in my basket (with 1 more item I’d already selected), at the point I went to view my basket then checkout there were about 76 copies left - but in the very short time it took me to view my basket, the slipcover edition sold out (I did not even have the chance to place my order). So I ordered the standard edition."
— Andrea M. (5/5)
French amateur gore slogfest
"A decent collection of French horror films if you're a fan of amateur DIY horror. Folies Meurtrières stands out as the highlight. The 8mm grain and music create a gritty atmosphere, reminiscent of the 2012 Sinister. The other two videos are a bit disappointing and the excessive gore becomes repetitive and tedious to watch."
